My injectors are lost according to the DHL website. Last know location was Omaha, Nebraska.

    Omaha?

    Frankfurt to Omaha?

Somewhat off topic, but what is the most precise carb balancing tool aside from the harmonizer? Not having a balance is all that's holding me back from installing the 1200 injectors...

I used a Twinmax on my R115GSA and it worked well. I know it's not as precise as you might be looking for, but the Twinmax has worked fine for me as long as the 9V battery is good and the unit itself isn't physically abused. Unfortunately theoptions are a little thin these days. A tall, homemade manometer might be your best bet tbh. Select an oil weight for ease of reading and the damping of your choice, make it tall enough to allow for 18" or higher columns and you'll have a pretty precise read on balance.

Pretty sure the ones people make for like $10 are pretty accurate. I splurged and bought one of these cause I like cool tools. It’s magnetic and sticks to the tank. Simple to use. Not cheap though.

I had a Twinmax. I kept reading articles and posts about inexpensive, homemade manometers so I whipped one up. I was dumbfounded by how much better my bike ran after using it first time.

Well Herr Postman just delivered my injectors! How do you say YeeeHaaaw in German?

ETA: Quick road test. Idle is smoother, Bike feels peppier. Feels like it winds up quicker but my seat-of-the-pants dyno may not be the most accurate means of collecting data. I need to read thru this thread again and figure out what I'm going to do with my AFXIED but I like it so far. Tomorrow I'll rebalance the TB's but idle speed is still right on the money.

Remember that fable about the old cobbler? The gnomes or elves or whatever the hell they were would sneak in to his shop while he slept and fix all the shoes, right?
Well those little bastards stuck a gixxer engine in my GS last night.

Those injectors have transformed my bike! Wow!

I felt the same way once I had both AFXIED & the injectors running. It was a HUGE improvement that lasted. Glad you're happy with it!

Google up home made manometer, it's just a long piece of timber, length of clear tubing and a light engine oil. Its as accurate as any machine and as long as no leaks virtually fail proof. I have a set of gages for over thirty years, have used mercury tubes, and a Twin Max, i prefer the home made item.:*sip*

Don’t think so. They were not needed on my 1150. Just plugged straight into the throttle body after removing vacuum hose.

Hi all, I'm 10 pages in on this thread and see there are 33 more, which I will get through, but eager to get my new injectors in and ride, and have spent the last hour on google, tills.de and injector-rehab, but still don't know exactly what I need adapter wise.
    I've got a '98 R1100R, and have these injectors:

That looks like an 1150/1100S injector - are you sure that is yours?

Below is a typical 1100 injector

Just like "GS ADDICT" says, you do not want to get this wrong.
    There are two different kits.
Can you double check or take a photo.

So I've already gotten it wrong, as the one pictured n my post is what I have, the one in the reply is what is on the bike.
But, I would think they would work if I can make them fit, no?
    Perhaps with this:

Why not just order the correct matched set kit?
