A question for any of you experienced Great White North travellers... In planning my assault on Alaska (from Texas), I've noted from numerous ride reports that numerous locations (ie Whitehorse) have non-BMW motorcycle shops which can change tires... Since the 1200GS requires a specialty balancer to balance the rear tire, do I need to carry the Marc Parnes Balancer with me? I'll be changing over to TKC 80's somewhere around Calgary, and anticipate at least one more rear tire change on my journey. Do the TKC's even need balancing? How have others handled this situation? Any input is appreciated!
