True, though the newest bikes, 17 and up, don't have the "fix". They have a different crimping method that "fixes" the issue.

Despite allegedly being on “the list” for these I still haven’t heard a peep from my dealer. Are these things still trickling out in limited batches?

My dealer is out of the collars at the moment.

I had the stanch recall while down in SoCal, and brought my Britome clamps home. Maybe there's a market for Britome to re-machine these to be usable with the new collars/bushings... ? Or we can sell them to RT owners who are, or should be, concerned.

If this is related to throttle errors, there is a software update available for that issue.

They are more readily available and ordering shouldn't be a problem.

I've got a new '17 GS with a manufacture date of 3/17. I checked this link (sorry- stumbled on to this thread but couldn't go through all 198 pages to see if this is old info) to see if my VIN is included. The results were that I have no open recalls. Can I assume my GS isn't a part of this?

Double check with a BMW Motorcycle Dealer. Any franchised dealer will do.

Mine are finally done along with a few warranty repairs but the bike came home with some dumb reflectors on the bag racks.

Got mine done 2 weeks ago. Also had the reflector recall, but they sent mine home in a bag. I have no idea where they go.

Did any of you had issues with the steering lock on keyless bikes after the recall being done?

Finally figured out how to upload a pic...

Here's what the top of my fork tubes look like. While at the dealer recently, I saw the 18's with the rubber sleeve at the top of the fork tube, then looked at the '16 demo they had and it had the same collar as on mine in the pic below- looks pretty solid to me v. the crimped tube w/rubber cover...

Did anyone else have to put a half a brick in top case to ride wheelies from all the extra weight in front?

Nothing in the repair should affect the steering lock.
