Touratech front fender is much lighter and better clearance, I have it on my 2017 650 now and it bolts right in, had to make adapters on the o ne in the picture for the 2006

I got it from Avicious Cycle (now Twisted Throttle) but looking on their site I don't see it anymore.

Looks like I cant get one of those fenders any more :(

Any way back to the build. Got the top box and MRA wind screen on.
Got to sort out my control/handle bar setup. With all the changes (Sv1000 master) it's going to be a bit of a tedious messn around.

Yeah, a fender raiser would be a great idea. I hear rocks scraping around on mine off road.

Maybe some raising links for more ground clearance? Nice radiator guard too if you don't have one already, I see you have one good. Center stand is a great idea. Hand guards? Headlight screen guards? Crash guards? Anti gravity battery for losing weight? Foldable shifter and brake levers?

I'd probably leave the motor stock for durability. And get all the recalls done.

I have 50k on mine but don't bash it up much off road. Mine is built for being a hot rod and little durability.

How about some more update? I have a 2015 650 vstrom ( for sell here) and love this build, if it doesn't sell I plan to do many of these mods. Really would like to know how much better than stock this runs, seems like it would be unreal in every way, certainly better than getting a new bike in the pocketbook.
I'm looking to mod mine ( if it doesn't sell shortly) to be more of an on road only canyon carver, rather North Georgia mountains road bike.
