Looks like i would be going on Rte 90 across southern Michigan. Let
I'm not sure the details yet. Maybe three days, putting on 700 miles per day? We could get a group riding out from the east coast, picking up people along the way.

Talked to a KTM rep at Americade. He said Moto Breck - KTM dealer (970) 453-0353 , would be in attendance at the rally. You could contact them and make sure they have tires waiting for you.

I figure I'll ride from here at the beach to Breckenridge in one go. I'm cutting down my wander on the moto this time. Google says 975 miles.

Sounds like a good "iron butt" opportunity.

Seat Concepts have been terrific on my bikes, especially the 500 exc-f and the wr250r.
Don't want to brag but 8 K miles last year on those seats and mostly off road. BDRs (UT/CO), Baja (x3), Moab (x2).

This will be my fifth KTM Adventure Rider Rally and first one I'll haul instead of riding the bike. Departing from NorCal.

I'm far too lazy to sign up and do whatever needs doing for an ironbutt.

I just realised my bike is ten years old now.

Is anyone transporting a bike back and fourth from the East Coast?

Very much want to go, but no interest in riding from here to Colorado. Maybe a KTM rental there?

    My prep begins..

The initial service, post motor rebuild, (that was completed in February, there have been other things to do).

I should be all done with the work I'm doing within minutes of heading to the rally. :imaposer

Ugh! Wife and I made all of our travel arrangements in the last couple of days, then went to buy tickets for the event and just sold out in the last 24 hours. We didn't know it could be sold out. If anyone has tickets they are not using now, please let me know.

They usually sell out sooner. You may see some tickets pop up.

I was planning on going as well, but I didn't realize that it could be sold out either. I was planning on smashing up my 950A and getting lost at the race qualifier this year. I guess on the bright side, i won't be spending lots of money on fuel to drive there...

Hey everyone, I just checked and tickets are available again. I had to order one at a time versus 2 at the same time, but good to go now. Whew!

How new to off road friendly is this?
I've been riding a few years but just recently picked up a 990 ktm. I've done alot of dirt/gravel roads but have yet to do any actual trails. More than willing to learn but don't want to not be able to enjoy or be hindrance.

Should be fine there are two lane blacktop, forest roads and crazy stuff all around.
I'll be riding only easy stuff I could ride two up on with my wife, which I won't be, but could. And not scare either of us.

I may go re-ride a bit of the CBDR I really like that is sort of near-ish as well.

Chris, do you have any idea if the limited tickets for the race will pop back up? There's a good chance that all 50 of those people who bought those tickets won't be able to make it to the event. I'm wondering if those unused tickets will go back up on the eventbright website?
