    What's is the RDV?

Just a bunch of inmates (max is 200) getting together and having a good time.
Spend the day riding some of the best roads in WNC: dirt, gravel, twisties, TAT; spend the rest of your day at Crawfords Campground, eat great food, enjoy a few pints of free craft beer (or root beer), and join the bullshitting on the fire-pit.
    What can go wrong? :lol3

    What's included?

    • free tent camping or trailer/van camping (no hook-ups)
    • hot showers
    • Dinner on Thursday
    • Breakfast and Dinner on Friday
    • Breakfast and Dinner on Saturday
    • Breakfast on Sunday
    • 'bout 18 kegs of beer, root-beer, coffee, lemonade
    • mug, stickers, door prizes
    • good people
    Cost:
$99 + $15 for late registrations after April 15th. Sorry no one-day-passes (too hard to control) and no refunds. If you are not able to come, you are more than welcome to sell your spot.
    Extras:
    • Cabin space (see below)
    • RV spots with hook-ups (see below)
    • Dinner Wednesday, Breakfast Thursday (pay as you go)
    • short sleeve or long sleeve shirts
    History:

The Eastern Rendezvous is the oldest annual ADV rally, and the only one in the south east. It started in 2002 as a small traveling gathering, and Rick aka Party Boss turned it into an annual event known as the Eastern Rendezvous. Sadly we lost Rick in 2012. Nobody will ever be able to be such a great and inviting host like he was, but we will keep his rally alive in honor of what he started.

    One for the Boss :beer

    Hi folks,
While I’m not sure what I have signed up for, I am totally looking forward to the 2019 Rick’s Rendezvous! While perhaps not the best ride leader known to man, I do have some experience doing the lead thing from some years back. I would like to put a ride together which will be a true Dual-Sport ride as defined by my own opinionated views. The ride will include some off-road (preferably single -track if it can be found), gravel roads and a bunch of twisty pavement. The ideal route I’d like to plan be around 150 miles and be good for 50-50 setup bikes. I will post more details as my plan develops.

Right now, this sounds so great to me! I little dirt, some gravel, water crossings, pavement and likely lunch. I like lunch. Ride pace medium to lots of fun.

Specifications subject to change without notice.

50% discount on ride memberships for Cogent customers. Oh wait, we can’t charge for this?

Also willing to lead or help guide a ride. Was thinking about going over towards Turtletown, Trail 81 & 82, Whitt or Old Furnace road, lunch @ Tellico Beach, Bald River Falls, back to camp. Just a loose idea currently. Suggestions welcome.

    In...

To be edited with ride info... Most likely to get some poor guys lost.

    Working version of my schedule...

    Thursday: Too excessive!

Too much of the following.... Miles, horsepower, weight, speed, time, and beer when returned.... Might not make it back for dinner.

    Friday: Power Lunch...

Will likely get lost trying to get somewhere for lunch.

    Saturday: Too Excessive Two

Not as excessive as Thursday. Good ride for curing a hangover. Nice calm 4-5 hour loop.

    ....
I avoid big water crossings. All roads likey to be drivable with a 20 year old Honda Civic.
