Well not really. We all know Honda never built an SL450. But maybe they should have so that’s why I decided to build one. It’s a bike that might have been…

The actual build is buried in my generic thread over in "Some Assembly Required", a fitting place for it.
But now that the bike is finished I thought it should get a post over here in "Old's Cool".
Here's some pictures for those that don't follow the build forums regularly.

And here's a link if anyone is interested in the build.

    Absolutely gorgeous.
Looks just like Sochiro would have built it.

    Really, really nice work!

You're far too modest . Your creation made the cover of Classic Bike !
It's fantastic and you might as well enjoy your moment in the spotlight .

Thank you @bk brkr baker .
I've built a lot of bikes but somehow this one just really does it for me. It is definitely unique and turned out really nice IMO.
Never tried to put one in a magazine before but something told me I should give it a shot before I went and got it all dirty.:photog
I was blown away when it made the cover...

Great build and stunning work. How does it run with those modern Mikuni's?

The throttle response is definitely much better than with the original Keihin CV carbs. Still needs a little more work on the jetting but it's pretty close to being there. Have to wait until spring now.
Here's a short video of the first run. Was still waiting for the tail light bracket to return from chroming plus other stuff but just had to roll it out and fire it up.
