Finished up with the gas tank last night. Hit it with 2K clear coat to keep it fuel resistant! Wow that stuff is wonderful to work with compared to regular clear! Amazing. Lotta work to bondo, sand, prime, paint, decals and clear but so worth it for the result! Very happy! =)

Besides that, I have everything completed! Just need to snap some pictures of it all finished up, which I will do this week! I painted the black vinyl decals onto the plastics, as the online kits are very expensive for repros! I also ended up rebuilding the petcock, as it was leaky, and did all the minor details like speedo drive, brakes bled, ect.

Done and done. Came out exactly as I hoped it would! I realized I forgot to come back and post up the finished bike. Putting her away for the winter and hoping to find someone in spring who wants to buy it to ride the hell out of it now that shes refreshed.

I guess I actually mean, how did you make that? looks like you started with a stock luggage rack.

Oh wow what a beauty! Did you fabricate the luggage rack or is it NOS or aftermarket? I have been trying to find one for my 84'. I'd love to be able to load up for longer trips. 1984 Honda XL600R.jpg
