Hi all. I've got a 1989 500 D/XC. I need to replace the fork seals and I'd like to rebuild the rear shock. Does anyone have any info or links that walk through the rebuilds? Thanks, Zach
I have a KTM 500 1989 too, rebuild rear shock and too the forks, which both where done by a KTM workshop. I would suggest you do it likewise, as you need a gas filling and some special tools at least for the rear shock. To the fork, you might try it yourself but if anything else is worn out and has to be replaced during the repair these guys will fix it on the fly instead you and me would ask around where to get any spare parts ... loosing time and money ...
