Price-$5000 Firm, Terms-Cash only because, cash is king Location: North Central Fla. Specifically Reddick Fla. Mileage- Approx. 70K. I’m the 2nd owner, purchased late December 2014. I paid $6K. Soon after purchase I joined the Airhead Beemer Club for comradery and knowledge. First meet up in Naples Fla. Jan2015, after I replaced the tires at home we changed all the fluids and installed magnetic sump plugs. I also brought new steer stem bearings with me and changed those too, plus a new air filter. The following year the same member had another wrench party and I changed the fluids again but this time, I found shards on the transmission bung magnet, enough that after consulting a knowledgeable airhead mechanic, it was determined I needed a transmission rebuild as the shards were remnants of the bearings. Also, I knew from riding Slab, 5th gear felt like there was grinding happening. Work prevented me from participating in ABC activities so I let my membership lapse. Knowing the bike needed a tranny overhaul I decided to let Virginia Motorrad handle the transmission overhaul, and other work the owner felt it needed, to which it was determined the engine would benefit from a valve job. While the heads were off new piston rings were installed, the carbs were overhauled, New battery and battery tray. The front forks were drained and refilled with the appropriate fluids (different weight oil in each leg IIRC). Anton Largaider (Virginia Motorrad Proprietor) also sent out the speedometer for overhaul on my instructions as the speedo stopped registering mileage

FWIW I had a courier we used to drop off my bike to Anton. Whilst the work was carried out, I had my left knee rep[laced with a total robotic knee in Ocala Fla. The surgeon did good work but the therapist I used didn’t get full range of motion back in the left knee which precipitated a poor recovery outcome. Unbeknownst to me I wouldn’t be able to get my left boot under the shift peg of my GSPD. In order to shift this bike while seated I have to used the heel of my left boot, a dangerous proposition indeed while riding off road. So I was left unable to ride this bike safely hence it’s sale

Here’s what I’m riding now, only because it has an automatic (CVT) transmission that precludes the need to shift it

Here’s a shot of the girl for sale sans the solo seat. I spin wrenches but leave the specialist work to, a specialist. I do my own valve adjustments, oil changes. She needed a diode board once under my care

Here’s the diode board I replaced. You would think BMW, in their infinite wisdom, would choose a better location for an electrical part such as this, instead of locating it where all the heat gathers. None of the Moto Guzzis I ever owned, that used this same diode board, mount it where der Fuhrer chose, but I digress

Anton rides a GS too. Mine parked next to his while she was up in Charlottesville, getting looked after

You can also see some of the accessories included in this sale, like the Jesse panniers that the original owner added when the bike was new. They’re in very nice condition as is the paint on this bike. I was told the best HarleyDavidson painter in the owners locale repainted this bike

I have the original valve covers for this bike. They were out getting new paint when Anton took this photo

Why am I posting this pic of my PD parked in my home garage next to my 2013 Vespa GTS? To show you that when not ridden, she’s garage kept. This bike, because of its care and feeding, is in very good condition, in addition to it being very well maintained. The original owner and his riding buddy who also (still owns) a year earlier GSPD than this one, they both rode far and wide so she’s been up the Dempster, on and on. OTOH, under my Tutledge, Ive been bringing this bike up to roadworthy status. I bought this bike because I wanted an off road airhead, and one that could get me there and back. Then I had my left knee replaced and can’t ride it

This pic was taken the day I took ownership (12/15/2014). She still looks exactly like this but different tires I mounted TKC 80’s

I also have a set of new Shinko’s if you’re interested

I’ll pick you up at the airport (GNV) if you want to do a fly & ride. As mentioned, the price is $5K. I have $12 K in this bike anyways. I feel that $5K is more than fair and wont entertain a dime less so, serious inquires only. Text is the best way to contact me (352-216-9072). For a few more Quid, you can buy a more modern ADV bike, something like a thousand liter class KTM with fuel injection, better suspension, on and on (I forgot to mention there is a new rear shock). You’re buying this bike because you want an off road airhead, no other reason. If you’re not wanting to buy an off road airhead, do not text me. My time is valuable

I want to make it clear. This motorcycle is for sale. When you contact me you’re not goin g to get some wish washy reply saying that I took it for a long ride and changed my mind about selling. Those ads have been placed in these pages, and I’m not one of them. I wont waste your time so please, do not waste mine

+1 for Anton, been around a long time, good guy and good work.

Maybe consider a heel/toe shifter, if one can be found or fabricated.

She went quickly. Gordon Wolfe texted me less than 4 hours after I posted this adv saying he’d take it. Then Bill Reed wanted it too to which I replied that he was next in line if Gordon’s offer fell through

Thus is Gordon’s 2nd PD. He flew down yesterday and picked it up. Gordon must like our Fla. heat as he spent last night in Fla.=:-)

I’ll likely put the GTS (2013 Vespa GTS) up for sale next, the one in the photo above. I have it advertised elsewhere at KBB’s suggested listing price. I’ll lower the price for inmates

53642DE6-1170-40DF-9B3B-0D00B35AB466.jpeg The R 100 GS/PD That I Purchased from shakin_jake was as described.Shortly after buying the bike I promptly rode it from Florida back to my home in Ohio. No problems just a big healthy BMW Airhead doing what they do eat up the miles. Would deal with jake again he is a very honest and trustworthy seller. Anton verified all work that jake described in his add. By promptly emailing to jake and myself a pdf file of all work performed and the cost of doing said work.
