Come join us (again) for The 19th Annual Eastern Vstrom Rally located at The Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge (& Campgrounds) in quaint Stecoah, NC.......right outside of Robbinsville, just minutes from The Dragon & The Skyway. The rally will be held Thursday May 20 thru Sunday May 23, headquartered at The Iron Horse. Here are the specifics:

    1. Only costs for the rally will be for your own lodging and meals, paid to The Iron Horse......make your lodging and food reservations thru them....tell them you are part of The Vstrom Rally. Rally Tshirts can be reserved ahead of time, paid for upon pickup at the rally. Costs of a shirt will depend on the quantity ordered....figure $8 to $15 (max). No extras will be ordered. PM me to reserve a shirt.
    2. The Iron Horse has all the following: primative tent camping, Motorhome & Travel Trailer Hook-ups, Private and Semi-private Cabins, a Bunkhouse (sleeping for four in one room), and private rooms in the building next to the Office. Call them to make your reservation. Their website is listed on the Eastern Vstrom Rally Link below.
    3. Activities during the event will include: Small Group Rides during the day, a rally meeting (typically 1 hour long) held each night upstairs in the Lodge after Dinner (door prizes, announcements, Guest Speakers /Slide Shows, Seminars, and general BS sessions), Slow Speed Race in the parking lot (tentative), and various "Vstrom games" which tend to change every year. Many folks are interested in "Dirt Rides" during the rally.......groups will form at the rally for those. We had a "Biker Swap Meet" last year in the parking lot all 3 days and was a huge success.....bring your parts/apparel/gear at rock-bottom prices!!
    4. The "Organizers" (term used loosely!!) are your's truley ("mark444" .....aka Moto-Kafe), "Stalky Tracker", and "Prowler". PM me with any questions and to get your name on the TShirt List. Cut-off for the shirt list will be 3 weeks before the rally......don't wait!!

The Rally was postponed last May 2020 due to COVID, but rescheduled to October 2020 where we had over 50 attendees. In May 2019, we had 100 attendees. Please go to the following Rally Website to get your name on the attendee list.......not mandatory, but helps us with planning. Also look at the PHOTOS from previous rallys to give yourself an idea on the Iron Horse Complex.

Should you have any questions/concerns/donations of Swag/ or ideas, feel free to PM me or send an email to: Moto-Kafe@bellsouth.net. Questions can also be voiced on the Rally Website.
    See ya in May.......!!!!!

Right at (57) folks signed-up so far. Remember, if you want a Rally Tshirt, send me a PM with quantity and size(s).......pay me at the rally. Shirts price will depend on the number I order, but they will NOT be more than $15 each. Deadline for me to order will be 3 weeks prior to the rally.

It's "official" now.........there will be a Slow Speed Race in the front parking lot of the Iron Horse on Saturday May 22, 4:00PM.......just prior to the Dinner Hour. We have had this activity in the past and is a "Hoot" to watch........but even more FUN to participate!!! I understand there might be a Cash Reward this year for the winner. Take home the title of "Slowest Rider in NC".....!!! Also back this year, our Eastern Vstrom Rally Swap Meet staged at the Registration Table/EZ Up out front. Attendees bring any kind of Moto-related Gear, parts, accessories, farkles, apparel, literature.........and place it on the tables at rock-bottom prices!!! The object is to go back home with either $$$ in your wallet, or........new items that you purchased at the Swap Meet. Last year we had jackets (some new), boots, gloves, tank bags, saddlebags, a SPOT locator, handguards, tie-downs, tires (Scout 60's), a Corbin seat....plus all kinds of kibbles/bits at down-right dirty prices. Place a price tag on your stuff to sell, leave it on the tables, and the guys running Registration sells it for you during the weekend and gives you the $$$ that evening.

Rally is only 7 weeks away........plan it NOW!!!

You betcha...........we are a "laid back" group. In fact, a dozen or so of our regular attendees sold/traded their Vstroms few years ago, but continue to come to the rally for the fun and good riding. AG_Streak came last year and brought some of his riding buddies along....none of who rode Vstroms, I don't believe. Ha ha........I am one of the "coordinators" (used VERY loosely) for the event and in the last (4) rallys I brought a CB500X, NC700X, Vstrom650, and a ZRX1200 last October......!!! This year is no exception: bringing my (new to me) "BumbleZ" to tame the Dragon, Skyway, and hopefully the Slow Speed Race.......which BTW now has a $50 cash First Place award + Trophy. Not gonna spill my beans just yet on what the make/model it is........you will just have to show up and see for yerself........ :lol3

Yes Sir........had the ZRX sold at the rally (that was not the reason I brought it). Chris, from Charleston SC, was up there with his son (both riding Triumphs), saw it (and the little For Sale note I placed on it), and bought it there on a handshake that he could pick it Thanksgiving Weekend in Birmingham, and go to the Museum during the same trip. It worked out great.........!!!!

Only three weeks away.........put it on your calender, don't have to pre-register, but it helps for the "planners" (i.e. the guy sitting in Stall #3). There are about 75 names on the Roster now that have committed (or, should BE committed??) to coming. TShirts have been ordered.

Up to 80 Attendees now. The Iron Horse should be sending out email Menu Requests Forms (Breakfast + Supper) in the next 7 days, I would think.......they typically do. BUT........they need your email addy (if you are tent camping there and require no Reservation), so you might touch base with The Iron horse to make sure they have you on file??

Slow Speed Race is still on..........as is the Rally Swap Meet. Bring your unwanted/un-used farkles, riding gear, parts, Mother-in-Law to the rally and sell it at the Swap Meet Table. We will supply tags printed for each item....you just fill in your name, what the item is, and the lowest acceptable price......the guys working the registration table will sell it for you.

In my 5 or 6 years of attending, I have never gotten my menu request prior to the Rally. No matter, I always love the IH and can't wait to head back in a couple of weeks.
