If you can weld or know someone that can just make your own out of the stock H-pipe and get one muffler.

I like the one from CJ Designs, as it retains the balance tube so would give you room to slide on the stock exhaust clamps, just like the stock unit. I have the style without the H pipe (like Adv Tank/BDCW) and since the two pipes are basically touching, it makes it a bit of a chore to slide in the two exhaust clamps.

I used the Remus titanium can with the sound insert left in - be prepared to have a loud bike if you go this route, and I'm not sure any other can would be any quieter.

Noobie to LC8's. Can anyone tell me what the advantage to going 2-1 would be over twins? Besides weight?

    Thanks!

Anyone got a sound bite of a ADV running 2 into 1 (yeah, I'm that shallow..)

Do you need a larger silencer or could I just adapt it one of my up to my Vance & Hine's?

Some people add an extra fuel tank in the space gained. That and weight like you said are the most common reasons

Thanks guys, all good info, and i will chase a few up for cost. Any one have a exhaust for sale

yes it will be louder but i am doing this mod for a future tank on the left. Oh and the weight loss is a added bonus.

    Thanks Rich

Gain some low end torque as well as the weight loss. Bike definitely feels more, maneuverable afterwards as well. The weight you lose is up high.

This is the same reason those of us on Harley's that actually care about performance over sound/looks go with them. Many claim it is slight but I have seen a number of dyno sheets that validate the increase in torque.

I'll have to get one next time I'm out and about! I've got the CJ 2 into 1 and a Wings NOS can. I think it sounds good, but IMHO, it's not as sweet as a 2 into 2 Wings or Akro cans would.
