Hah! Theres been a sighting! I was just cruising down hiway 70 in the Feather River canyon today in nor cal (8-28)

Simon and Lisa went by heading up canyon,they waved and that was it for that.
But good to see them out having fun!

The end of this road is the farthest point from any town via road in North America. Gravel all the way of course.

thanks so much for the invite....however we took the 64 from Trinidad and across the mountains onto the 84. it was a beautiful ride but cold!
the presentation in Santa Fe was really fun and we met loads of great people - some had traveled 3 hours to come to the presentation!! :huh

we are now making our way down to Tucson as we have a talk to give at IronHorse on Oct 26th. this will be our last for a while before returning at some point in 2014 to go visit the east coast again.

We are still planning new rides and routes but will be taking a few weeks off down in sunny Mexico over Xmas and New Year whilst working on the long awaited book and DVD! As you can well imagine with over 10 years on the road we have well over 200 hours of footage and well over a million written words in our daily journal. a massive task is ahead of us!!!

its been great to be back in the USA and we look forward to Alaska - Canada and the east coast next year!

If you are really wanting to ride a place where few on motos have been in the World you should ship the bikes over to Cuba, it's a special place.
Seems only natural if you are trying to get to the most countries.
The Stahlratte is taking some loads over in 2014 on the direct route...

You'll have to let us know how you F650 rides with the new engine and various bits from my sons Dakar. It's a small world sometimes.

I sure wish we could have met up when you were in the Seattle area. Unfortunately, due to my work load and travel for work, your visit in Seattle was untimely for me.

I'm sure Alyx has told you a bit about my son and our trip up north. You can read about the fate of his Dakar in our trip report.

Needless to say, both Johann and I are very excited in knowing that the soul of his bike will continue to live on through your adventures. He wants another F650 in the worst way. We will be following your journeys with a vested interest now. He and I have dreams of traveling South America on GSs someday after he completes college. For now, we will live vicariously through your tales.
