Another from last weeks bike meet
No front brake on that bad boy. Scary.
I'm thinking more of a street tracker format!
I knew a guy named Chuck Bullwinkle who had a stock street-legal Yankee twin. It was awesome just the way it was.
Took the RT2 to the top of Archangel Valley road today
I just woke up my 2003 KX125 M1. I bought it from the original owner in 2015. She had kept it at her lake front vacation home. Between 2003-2010 it was ridden maybe 15 times. Putting around her lawn.
It went to sleep in 2010 and was never started again until yesterday 9/19/21.
Aside from the inner tubes, tires, spark plug and chain the bike is 100% original. Yes a 125 mx bike that has never tipped over lol.
It started 2nd kick after an 11-year slumber.
!!! CRISP !!!
That KX is stunning!!!!!
She's a BEUT Clark!
A fellow inmate sent pics of a SUPERCHARGED Scott Flying Squirrel!!

Just found this picture from the impound area of the 1974 Baja 500 on a vintage desert racing FB page.
The funny thing is the guy in the Team FAIR jacket (white with blue stripe) is my Dad, I'm in the brown shirt, and my sister Sandy Bakken is in the bell bottoms!
That SL 350 is a sweet ride. I would like to have one today just to tool around on.
The Mototrans Ducati Pronto 100. I find it surprisingly attractive.
The original SL350 K0 was a nightmare, little more than a CB350 with a different exhaust along with other cosmetic changes. VERY heavy and a lame sheep in wolfish clothes. The K1 was better, all new double downtube frame and 60 pounds lighter, more trail and almost useble on dirt roads. The final K2 version added a 21" front hoop and other details. If you have to have one, this is the one you want!
So do I - my first reaction was to think it looked rather Spanish, and it turns out there's a good reason for that.
Oh, hell yeah.
(I'd want a bit more front brake, but that's a quibble.)
My nephew (who´s an MD) has fixed up a few bikes, his last work is this KX 500
