A couple of seriously long days, 260 miles yesterday and 214 today. Yesterday was mostly paved, still a long time in the saddle.

We made it to Catavina after running up to Meling for lunch. Good day, just too many miles...lol.

Today was epic, hit the Pacific side and rode 140 miles into Santa Rosalita...effing awesome. Decided to slab to BOLA. Thanks @jonz for the Raquel and Larry recommendation, Ruth is FANTASTIC, dinner was killer and we have a nice room.

I know, pics or it didn’t happen. Here are a couple from my phone.

Thanks. We're on 500's so should be good.. We'll make our decision to include this or not on day four of our ride. The last time I did this route was 3 years ago.. it was rough then but no problem on the smaller bike.

On 500s you should be fine, especially if you’re not loaded with camping gear like we are. And going down is easier than up on that section...lol. Safe travels amigo!

The landscape in Catavina is truly incredible, like nothing I’ve ever seen in my life.

Looked at this route when we were there last March but 2 up on a GSA...it seemed unwise lol. Looking forward to sneaking some read time in for this one. Our RR https://advrider.com/f/threads/2up2-baja-via-new-brunswick-canada.1273304/

Great spot to enjoy a beer or two. And ocean facing rooms for $50 (I think). We stumbled across it after riding along the Pacific...sweet find:beer

Had a fantastic ride today, headed south out of BOLA and made our way by San Francisquito. Amazing views of Cortez along the way. And sand sucks, especially when you take the wrong track :eek7

Made it to San Ignacio after ~215 miles, another long day. But Rice and Beans is really cool, as us town proper. Not sure if pics will go through, will try.

Yep, if you contact ‘em ahead of time, they’ll sell fuel and food. Lunch was ok, shredded beef burritos of some sort. Great people, they’re trying to make a go of it on renting cabanas, etc. It was a nice stop and break!
