Let’s see, left off after beers at Rice and Beans. Went into San Ignacio proper for breakfast and to check out the mission. They’re redoing the square, so everything was dug up. The mission is seriously neat, only bummer was the ice cream shop wasn’t open.

Had a nice easy ride into San Juanico...could’ve stayed there for several day! We stayed at Cowabungas, really cool place and Mike is one hell of a character. Had fantastic food at the cantina on the bluff south of town (Restaurant Bahia I believe). Was hard leaving.

The plan from there was to hit an old section of Score course to La Purisima and then pass through Comondus on the way to Loreto. Track was blown out at a water crossing and rather than risk a bunch of those, we turned around. And then the Tiger started having battery issues...wouldn’t fire :eek7 Disconnected the lights and waited, she fired up and we bombed back into San Juanico hoping to find a battery. No dice.

We were going to slab it to Loreto, but decided to risk a bit and hit La Purisima via asphalt and then cut across. Was a good call, that was one hell of a ride. Track was really rough in some spots, but overall good. It turned a 96 mile day into 162 miles, but we made it and now it’s chill time with the fam for ~9 days.

Didn’t get any phone pics, but tons with the camera. Suffice to say here’s a good one to celebrate making it here after 7 days of riding and 1212 miles covered!

San Juanico was my favorite stop this last January. Also stayed at mikes for 2 days. Really liked that town! The ride down from san Iganicio along the old 1000 route was amazing and beautiful. Headed back January 2019

Now that’s a great day back in the saddle, though a bit too many miles; 214 for the day. We had a great time making our way from Mulege across the peninsula. Decided to stop in San Juanico for fuel and tacos de pescado on our way to San Ignacio.

The salt flats by the Pacific were sweet, and San Ingnacio is really a cool arse town. Enjoyed some killer street tacos and then had great ice creams in the square.

    San Francisquito tomorrow!

Not sure, don’t recall seeing signs for it. Restaurant Bahia on the bluff overlooking the Bay is killer though. On the way to Scorpion Bay restaurant. Highly recommend it if you’re there.

Another great day in the saddle. A few too many asphalt miles, but we made good time. Stopped at Piedro Blanca for fuel and lunch again, seriously cool place to stop. Have to plan a trip where we stop there for a night in the future.

Made it to San Francisquito without a problem, absolutely beautiful spot. We’re having tacos de pescado shortly, should be great.

A few pics from the day.

Had a long arse ride from SF to Gonzaga Bay, tried doing the green door trail, but the sand was too deep for the Tiger, so we bailed and stayed on the main road.

Ended up staying at Alfosinas as it was dark when we left Coco’s. Wouldn’t stay there again. Nice sunrise though.

Supposed to be a short day into San Felipe, so my plan was to jump off MX 5 and ride along the coast when I saw tracks. Worked for a bit, but we ended up on the race course and it seriously sucked. Didn’t think I was going to make it out of super deep wash where one of the bridges was out.

Stayed at Pete’s Camp, a bit different than I expected. Not really Baja-ish, but still cool...had fun hanging with the folks next to us and we had a front row palapa.
