    Hello Adv riders, :D

It's been a long time coming and I've put them off long enough.
My 1150 center stand skids have stood the test of time and has been doing well for all of my customers. I've had so many requests for the 1200gs plate and wanted to make sure the product will stand up just like the 1150 plates.
Two luck 1200gs riders will be testing them for fit & finish, plus durability for the next month. :D I sure like the looks of different colours to match the bikes. Here is a picture of the black & the yellow.
Let me here what you think. :D

I would try one in Blue to match my 1200gs in Ocean Blue or black. Never thought I would need until I started going offroad.

Let me know what you need?

    Hello Noah, :D

Can you PM me with your details. As far as Ocean Blue, I don't know what color will match and I'll have to see what blue the powder coater has. Black will be no problem at all. I still don't know how the test fit went, so it might be a week or so till I get things going. I have quite a list of plates to make so it might be a little while.
    I will keep in touch,
    Thanks,
    Rick :D

    Rick,
Great piece of gear and it looks sweet on my gs 1150 (Of course I am refering to the 1150 center stand plate). It took 5 minutes to install. Going out to the desert in so cal tomorrow to put it to the test. Thanks again.
    Best regards,

I would definitely be interested in one in either black or frame colored silver!

    They look great!

I just installed Rick's plate on my R1200GS.

Here's what you get from Rick

the plate is well made, complete with countersunk holes for the bolts and also a slot where the centerstand spring sits.

here's a closeup of the hardware you get. I chose to replace the M6 slotted bolts with some allen head M6 fasteners in stainless. my reasoning is that I don't carry a large slotted screwdriver with me on the trail but always carry a metric allen hexkey set.

here's the before shot of the centerstand. it's pretty pitted from miles on gravel and some offroad travels. maybe Rick should include a can of Krylon. :D

I found it easier to put the bike on the sidestand to install. here's a shot showing that you can get the complete access you need to deal with the upper fastener on the spring side (the only difficult problem of the install).

    PM sent.

BTW I got the plate last week. Haven't had a chance to install it yet but I compared it to the TT product for the 1150 GS, that a buddy has on his bike. Much better IMO.

Ditto on the quality note above, just got in th email on Friday and tried a quick install after work without luck. My fault as I was drinking it was hot in garage and the bike was covered in dried mud from my last escapade.

I will try to install one night this week with the tip to install on side-stand.
