This bike runs and rides but could use a new engine based on oil use. I have no time so I'm hoping someone else can make good use of this bike I've enjoyed for the past four years.

Bump. Still riding this bike daily, it just uses oil.

What makes you say it needs a new engine rather than a rebuild?

As much as I'd like to have it you are much too far away for me to be serious about buying, but looks like a good winter project for a local.

Good question. It may be able to be rebuilt, but I am not familiar enough with engines to determine that.

I'm selling it on the pretense of needing an engine in order to not oversell. I'd prefer it go to someone on the forums for cheap and as a project than to a college student who might try to depend on it.

I've reinstalled the front/rear cowls, stock levers, and wired the heated grips. I'll post some new photos when time allows.

I had a high mileage S3 of this same vintage. They do use oil, but nothing that cant be solved with pistons, rings, and a hone. Probably less to rebuild that replace.

I had a different S3 in this same Roulette Green color. Absolutely loved both bikes.
