    Hi Guys and Girls
I didnt want to start a new thread just for a quick question but couldn't find anywhere to ask it......

I am currently going through the "should I buy a 250" type question when I saw a 2002 Klx250s for sale at a good price. Only trouble is, I didn't think the klx 250s was made in 2002 for Aus. I thought it was discontinued from 99 to 06?

The owner kindly supplied the vin and it does have a 2 at the 10th number for 02.

So, am I a dumb ass :flush and everyone knows they came out in 2002 :hmmmmmor is it an older model that was re-vin'd in 2002 (ie grey import or dirt only model farkled to meet ADR):scratch I dont want to pay for an 02 then find it is older.

    Thanks

It was offered from 94 or so with out a break I'm aware of.

    I had a brand new 04, and a mate with an 02.

If it has an electric start it isn't dirt only.

Thanks guys. It really is an odd ball. Wikipedia says 2006 onward but real people have owned bikes from the "missing years".

Might be worth going for a look see..

    Thanks again

Does SA have a Vicroads VIN/Reg/Frame number search type of thing? You could also try a PPSR search https://transact.ppsr.gov.au/ppsr/QuickVINSearch?li=False&si=5 at a cost of $2, which I always do before I decide to buy something.

They didn't import them into the US, but we still got them.
