For your consideration, an inexpensive way to start your sport touring journey.

This particular bike is not a cherry, showroom perfect example, but it's hard to tell from 15 feet away. It went down on it's right side sometime before I got it and could use a few hours of garage love to straighten out the windscreen bracket and do some minor cosmetic repair to the upper right fairing/dash.

Looking at it closely and riding it, I'm convinced it was a low speed fall/drop. I bought it this way from a dealer, and just haven't had the motivation to fix it. I lowered the price accordingly.

I've bought and sold quite a few bikes here and will represent it as truthfully as possible. Come ride it and see for yourself. There's a lot of value here.

On the positive side of the ledger, this thing pulls like the proverbial freight train, gets decent mileage, and carries enough stuff for an extended trip.

Newish tires, just over 28K miles on the odo (no, I haven't checked the valves), and not being ridden as much as I like.

In fact, I'm also selling my DR650, in an effort to get down to just one bike again.

Clear title in hand. Free test rides for inmates.

Bike is located in Evergreen, AL, about halfway between Montgomery and Mobile, on I-65.

I'll be as accommodating as possible, but at this price and an out of town full time job, it's getting very close to a cash and carry deal........:)

    I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Prospective buyer has gone radio silent. After consulting with a forum moderator, I feel like it's time to move on.

    New and improved price.

Probably won't go much lower. Tags and insurance are paid and I don't have to feed it.

Bought an '09 R1200GS though, so I could stand to move this one along.

I bought one of the first FJR 1300 in Canada , special order. Still have it in my stable. 'Great sport touring" bike, effortless performance and good fuel economy.
I've never experienced any problems. At this price, AST236 should have sold a dozen already.
    Bump for a great ride.

I had an identical one, and if this one was closer I'd be hard pressed to resist buying! After riding on the FJR when we met, the wife pretty much refuses to get on any of my other bikes (take that as a plus or minus...)

Just as a point of reference and because I wish ADV had a buyer/seller review section - Frank @AST236 is a good man. Facilitated my fly-and-ride, helped get my paperwork sorted, and sold me a fantastic motorcycle at a great price. Seriously folks, top notch guy.
