Just needed to bring this to the front of the page. Some fellow ADV riders are taking me under there wing for some BBQ and races this weekend here in K.C. I referenced this trip and wanted them to be able to find it easy enough.

I rode in to my California Money Pit yesterday with $300 to spare. I am sorting out bills & pictures while I wonder how many parties my 18 y/o daughter had to generate the amount of mess I came home to. And to add insult to injury, she took my truck up the coast to Washington State for a few weeks! Now I am supposed to paint the house and move all the furnishings using my Harley in 100F+ heat!!!

I uploaded most of my D2D pictures to cyberspace oblivion, but here are a few that were saved:

I have a couple of other disaster pictures on my trip report, An SUV w/trailer trying to negotiate a ten foot trench, a fuel truck that slid off the road at Eagle Plains Bridge, and my toasted battery in Denali Park:

But most of all, the trip was about all the great people I met in Alaska, Yukon & NWT.

If any of you ride south for the winter, I hope you will stop by Nancy's in Cabo Pulmo or Pepe's Dive Center:

It is 40 miles from San Jose del Cabo Airport on the East Cape. You can rent Harley's or BMW's in Cabo San Lucas for a nice washboard experience before they eventually pave the road. Accomodations are from free crashing on the beach to $200/nite fully stocked beach houses:

I just got an email from the two gals from Germany who camped across the river but joined in our festivities....they were inspired by your namesake:

Yep it's time to send the soccer mom mini van away. Hit most of the dealers yesterday sticker shopping. The women in the house are trying to talk me out of another van and get something more manly....like a 12 mpg SUV.
