another groover in classic form
Dood not only earns the distance award, but also sweeps the carnage category, which drives Dick to drinking and leaves Joanne wondering wtf?:
takes Ace to school on going slowly (hey wait... who's that Strommer in the "lead"??):
is an all-around pretty decent guy (propped by the righteous AKTroy):
and still somehow manages to give a physics seminar to an unlucky Dawson City yoot' who chose an unfortunate method of making friends and influencing people, notably TR and his lovely assistant Kathy/Cathy/Quathii (sp?).
I'm still in utter disbelief that something mechanical NEARLY went awry on a Strom, but at least it was caught in time and didn't force any flush-mount turnsignal purchases.
Awesome shots all along, AKPhotog, and bonus points for the membership drive w/ Gabriella...
And please, for the love of all that is right with the world, destroy any/all pics of the Kodiak Browneye!
I'd be remiss if I didn't thank my own lurvely assistant for keeping Dick's attention, and for not drenching me w/ busted balloons...

I hope everyone's making it back safely and Nana and I are just about ready for one mo. She's thinking a quick whip down to Whittier. Fairly soon. Maybe lunch next wkend at Varley's for a 1/2 & 1/2.
Thanks first though to the 'gruvers. Xlnt job of putting on a great ride. Particular thanks to AKrider for doing what he does... To a couple of xlnt IronButtGruvers for taking the time to put some heart into this ride by memorializing Claire... To the core group that thanklessly works behind the scene to pull the whole thing off.
...and a special thanks for inducting my daughter as a 'gruver. She had a great time and when I'm long since gone and she's an 80 year old bag she'll still remember with a smile taking the big ride w/ dad and you nutbars on the D2D.
I got a boatload of pics and will post up tamale.
so going to bed saturday night i closed my eyes and experienced a wonderful thing. it was like getting of a boat after a long day on the water, except it was from riding. it felt like i was still riding through the twisties, turning, accelerating. i smiled to the world in my dreams that night,
Yup, looks like "Sturgis of the North" fer sure.
Regardless of the shirt, ain't that the Head Hamster right there?
Who's King Of The Hill?
If you happened to find some screws, they're mine.
Back to camp, 1 AM or so, after a ride to all the local gas stations. Yep, they were all closed. You'd think that Dawson would embrace the card reader technology....
Boy-O-boy, does that ever look like a great time! Great pix guys.
Heading your way after Buena Vista and a week on the Great Divide, can't wait!
1200+ pix to wade through... Liked this one though...
Hacky is the King!
Motomama is wet and Ace should be very afraid!
