nice pic Hacky.
A big thanks to Hacky, MotoMamma, and Jake for stopping and lending a hand Sunday south of Glenallen... The beast wasn't all that happy with me that morning.
But, thanks to your guidance and suggestions, I followed them after trucking (no trailer!) her home... She lives!
I cleaned out all the electrical connections, put a bit of sealer on them, did a handful of other maintenance, and took the beast for a shake down run this evening. She :rabia me again!
As if eveyone didn't already know this, you are some great people! Thanks again, and I owe you one!
Heres one I found for the proud parents!
Ok Globi this is a compermising position in more ways then one:eek1 as Kodiak frank looks:eek1 on
Dawson wasnt just for the riders!
Only George would come up with the thought of two-up and both blind-folded.
Good golly! He sure seems to like that position for whatever reason...
I don't know what Globie was thinkin', the big girl was just taking a nap!
Looks like he's trying to take a poo.:eek1
Xlnt first post, Mom.
Who got the shot of Globie doing a neck stand?
GusGus, That looks like a match made in heaven.
Welcome Kul Mom............glad to see more gals posting!
Thank you for sharing the great pictures!
Nice to see that you and MotoMoma took such nice care of Michigan Buell. We talked to him at the Chevron in Cantwell while he was waiting for the tire. He seemed like a real good guy and that you had things well in hand. I'm sure he will have stories to tell about the hospitality of those in the Great White North.
I believe this is the view from the other side so you can get the whole picture
Great thread and pics. I passed through last year on a 3 week trip to AK.
My first D2D!
Thanks for the Hospitality! Dick thanks for the help on the quick carb fix in TOK.
All was great Dinner,
meeting all the new people. Had a good time.
I clocked about 1100 total. not to shabby. Got home Sunday. It would have been Saturday but mother nature got in my way coming back accross the Denali Hwy around 40 miles outside Paxson
So I stopped at the World Famous Paxson Hotel I did not want to get on the Denali after that storm. So i rolled in , could not see 15 feet in front and left a puddle when i checked in. Also i would not suggest the meatloaf either.
Got up the next morning and all fine.
Stopped for a bite at the Mclareon river lodge http://www.maclarenlodge.com/main.htm Great food, nice people.
Came on across and was home in no time.
Looking forward to the next one!
I think we kept riding through that same storm... Would have been beter had we stayed in Tok. This storm:
Did this to my bike:
But she is better now. Just had a farewell dinner with Kodiakfrank and his wife. They are headed back to the island tomorrow...
Hacky promised Kevin that the replacement Buelly tire would be at the Cantwell Chevron around noon. I pulled in with the Miss Daisymobile at three minutes after. Not bad! I love it when a plan comes together. Fite
