Installed 2013 990 Adventure complete engine/trans with 13k miles 7 months ago. ALL moving drive components (engine/trans/chain/rear sprocket, drive gear, front and rear bearings )replaced and have less than 19000 mles. Frame/plastic has 69000 miles. Dyno’s at 90hp, 12 more than stock 950 – have sheets.
Wrapped it in matte metallic orange. Willing to re wrap in whatever color you'd like, if we can agree on a purchase price
I recently bought an 1190 so it's time to let my first love go

The title is restored. I had State Farm pay for the engine crack from the rock hitting the kickstand before I had the re-locator. I bought it back from them when i found out about the case welding and then when I came across the 2013 engine I got that for the day I felt froggy and wanted to take on that adventure.

Nothing else happened to the bike other than the case break. It got restored with the case repaired and worked well for a few years till I got the itch.

    Addons include:
Front 17t, rear 42t sprockets, this year
Bikemaster BMXR 525 Orange chain, this year.
    Canisterectomy.
    Crash bars.
    Rigid dot fog lights.
Vision X spot lights with flood covers. They come on with high beam.
Heidenau scouts front and back that are in very good condition.
    Ktm side bags, gray.
Fuel pump changed to a Facet. Very common replacement/upgrade.
Cigarette port mounted in glove box for charging accessories.
    Atlas throttle lock.
Led headlight and custom led taillight bulbs in all stock housings.
Led turn signals with led relay.
    Replaced ignition switch.
    Fmf slip on exhaust.
    Orange brake and shifter pegs.
Flex jets, so the carb can be adjusted for elevation on the fly.
    Rottweiler intake with pre-filter.
    KTM metal skid plate.
Oil changed every 5k with Motorex and a K&N oil filter.
    BDCW side stand relocater,

    WAS 4500$
    NOW 4000$
    NEW NOW!! Send me offers.
    Im in Mesa AZ.

I think that's about everything. I really enjoyed the bike. Sad to see it go.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

Couple years ago I didn't have the side stand relocated and a rock taught me a hard lesson. Damn rock popped up and hit that bracket just right, breaking a sizable hole in the case.
I had the hole welded shut and did the side stand piece, but the engine smoked a little bit after that. Heavy engine deceleration usually led to a puff of smoke. I was embarrassed by it at stop lights so away the 950 engine went. Bought a 2013 990 engine and swapped it in last December. I had the engine for a while before I got the guts to do the swap. Was a good bit of work.

    Thanks!

I'm shocked you still have this. Indiana is a long way away....but if you're coming to the KTM adventure rally in Colorado in a month or so I could pretty easily be convinced that I need it since my 90k mile 950 is starting to get really tired and was going to do the same engine swap...

I know there has been a lot of hullabaloo about this bike and I just want to set the record straight that, while I have had multiple offers over asking price, I wont accept these insulting offers. At, or slightly below, asking is what I am hoping for. I don't wanna gouge anyone and have my pristine name dragged through the mud here on ADV.
    Thanks!!

Still looking for a good home! Should I be parting the bike out? What am I doing wrong? I'd love all input. I know it's not perfect, and the proce reflects that, no?

    Frustratedly yours,

I am surprised as well Nors. I appreciate any input from people. There aren't bikes this inexpensive very often. Maybe I talk to the dealer about them selling it?

    So frustrating!!

Edit: just intrigued myself and the trade in value is 3910! I'm gonna make some calls. Maybe Ill get lucky!
