I saw you scooting down toward Alyeska on the KLR when I was coming back from picking up Frank and Gloria's TransAlp. I hollered your name in my helmet and waved but the combined 150mph speed probably snuffed that pretty good. Hope you're liking the new steed.

OK stupid question time... I get Dawson. What about Dust? and is Deadhorse included in the route?

I'm planning on making my first trip to Alaska next June for 3-4 weeks. I'll be riding a 12GS. Haven't made any definite destination plans yet except to do the haul road to Deadhorse. I'll be traveling solo but would appreciate tagging along with a group for the haul road trip. The Dawson get together sounds like a good option to meet some follow travelers, if its open to all.

Just track this thread...as things get closer you will see how various sub-groups get together and then end up in Dawson...Personally, I plan on doing a lap up to Inuvik and arriving in Dawson on that Friday. But, there will be many different options. Just get your ass through Canadian customs and keep riding. It will all work out. :D:clap

I'm thinking a different route this year, Dawson via Skaguay, Hyder and Whitehorse, and doing the dust on the way home. Why? Cuz I've never been to Hyder and I spent a fun afternoon in Skaguay.

    Shameless bump

D2D07 will take place June 21-24 2007 in Dawson City, Yukon (not Dawson Creek)
    "Oh Canada"
That's about 270 days from now.
Just thought you'd like to pencil in your ADV calendars before they get too crowded.
It's tough trying to keep you clowns in line.
I don't want any excuses about not knowing what next years dates are.
