    Bike Story

I bought this bike new as a TE 250, The Athena 300 kit was installed by a professional moto mechanic. Total cost for install was over $1,000. Bike runs great, perhaps 20% more power over the 250. This Athena kit is the same kit the Husqvarna factory installed to make the TE310. This bike is very similar to the new SWM RS300R but this one is carbed and much cheaper.

The bike has been lowered 1 inch by a professional suspension tuner (LT Racing). More rideable for the average rider. Re-valved and reprung for a 180 lb. rider - .42 fork, 5.2 shock. I used to ride it as a dual sport, but it’s better as a single track or woods bike due to gearing. I trailer it now when I ride it offroad. No blinkers, it has the wiring, but the stock blinkers eventually all got beat up, so I ride it without any.

Average oil change interval while owned = 301 miles. Husky manual says every 5,000 KM, so one could follow that if they chose. The original 250 jug and piston are perfectly fine and can go to new owner.
Never raced. I never rode this bike near DSC01021.jpg DSC01022.jpg DSC01020.jpg DSC01023.jpg DSC01025.jpg DSC01026.jpg the level of its performance capability.

    Stuff it has
    • Brembo brakes, Magura hydraulic clutch - flawless, Steel brake lines, Excel rims, Marzoochi forks, Sachs shock, 2.4 gallon stock tank - about 120 mile range. Original exhaust I believe is an Arrow brand - very nice sound. I made a home-made heat shield which works great to protect boots/pants.
    • Re-jetted with JD jet kit.
    • Rick Mayer comfort seat (for slow guys like me)
    • Acerbis lever guards
    • Uptite skid plate
    • Michelin Desert front/ Dunlop Geomax rear - tires are excellent
