It was great meeting a bunch of you at dinner Saturday night! Thanks to Paige for setting that up and letting Cyndi and I sneak into your party!

too much to say about the adventure; the wonderful people i carpooled with, my animosity towards riding gravel roads, the dust, the danish from the motel we stayed at, my sore arse, legs, and arms, all the folks i met on the ride, the greasy fish and chips from the brewery, and more . . . but it was gud and i made it back in one piece so that's what counts. go sheet iron! :kumbaya

Apologies to the 2 guys on the 950's first thing Saturday morning,we were playing on some nasty stuff before hitting Potato Hill and they followed us down Whiteface.
Very steep and rocky with a few ugly dropoff sections over the big rocks.:eek1

Very impressive riders, that's an airborn 950 there and his buddy just cleared the top.
That third part is near vertical.

More throttle is always the answer.

You don't want to come up short on a bike that big,and you sure don't want to be too close behind it when he gasses it either.

    Hey all,

I had an absolute freaking blast with you all this weekend. Great ride, great weather, pretty great Mexican food in Ukiah, and great peeps. A few shout outs to the following for making this weekend muy especial for me:

sf_motogrrl: Thanks for letting me ride/hang with you all. Thanks too for the turkey and havarti on ciabatta! I say all those that had a sandwich chip in and get her an air cleaner snorkel for her DR ;)

Mendodave: The world's best dinner shuttle driver - thank you!!!. Also MAD PROPS for winging Moby around those hard splits. I was in awe watching/following you. I now have my own mini-movie in my head with a Dave Mason soundtrack no less.

Mighty Zeus: Girl can ride!! - fast too!!! Especially when cold! I can still hear that 250 going WFO on Hwy 1. Thanks for the excellent pics!

mootsuno: Thanks for helping me push myself to ride them trails on Sunday faster than I woulda. That was a hoot!

And a big thanks to the OMC crew if any of you are listening. Totally organinzed and painless. I'll be back next year!

    I'll post my picks ASAP.

This was a great experience for me. The ADV connection was key - AngryShawn and his family were stellar in their generosity and patience. Thanks for letting me tag along.

MendoDave was a prince, and I hooked up with Davebro in the small world dept. He and I played music at the Black Cat open mike a few years ago.

Perfect weather - great organization by OMC and cool people all around.

Skidmark43, it was great talking with you, thanks for introducing yourself at Pillsbury.:thumb

Passmore - nice talking with you afterwards. A reverse Sheetiron - and ADV individual to the core! :ricky
