We came over yesterday and there was no problem with the road. I know it has been mentioned before that the real problem are the RV's in the middle of the road on those nice gravel covered blind bends with a 100 foot or so drop and no armco.

Anybody heading up through Prince George BC? (If you happen to be online.) There's a hotel there called Esther's Inn. One of my boys probably left his shoe there. It's half of a $250 pair of blundstones that I had to bust my buttons to buy. If you're going through, any chance of popping into the front desk and ask to see the lost and found? It's a size 6 in black blundstone.

There will be a reward in Dawson City of at least a couple of beers, and maybe that miner's toe thing.

    Thanks.

Good to see everyone again! Not the usual sunny and hot Dawson weather we look forward to each year, but a great time nonetheless. Hope everyone makes it home safely.

Here's a pic I took of ThumperBee on the way to Dawson.

Let's see some more photos from the 2009 D2D when you all get a chance.

Somebody did not make it home safely, unfortunately.

While the boy and I were on the way home with the GS in the back of the truck, we saw a rider down just past lake Louise, black R12GS. No other details from this end. The rider appeared concious and in pain.

    Started like this

    ended like this

at the coffee shop on the corner of Tok Cutoff and Richardson, when I smelled gear oil and turned around just in time to see the rest of my final drive oil bleed out nicely. Called home on a cell phone borrowed from Tim (on the AK flag Strom- :freaky thanks I owe you one big time) and the boy fetched me in the truck. Got home about 0030 or so.

I wonder if Troy or I spent more on the ride home, he with the state or me with the BMW parts haus. :rolleyes

The Mohawk is this years new black, at least for helmet wear. From the poker run, 60 miles of dirt road blasting.

The weather wasn't so great, a bit chilly at the top of Solomon Dome and Midnight Dome.

And you sure don't expect to see that stuff sn*w on the ground in late June except maybe at altitude. My electrics got a helluva workout all day long

There were already plenty of folks on hand, they waved us on. They had him covered and I guess as comfortable as possible and they didn't take his helmet off, we saw no need to stop.
