    Edit for a price drop.

Up for sale is my 2009 KLR 650 with approx 15k miles. I'll preface this sale by saying that between my wife and I we've owned 5 KLRs (4 gen 2's and 1 gen 1), so I'm pretty familiar with the bike and hopefully will be able to answer any questions a potential buyer might have. Also the photos for some reason look orange, but the bike is red.

    Why am I selling?
Found a KLR loaded with farkles and went that direction - no need for 3 KLRs in the stable.

    Goodies
    • Tusk bark busters - stock guards are screwed to the rib for wind protection
    • SW Motech Crash Bars
    • Pair of NiteLite Leds
    • Custom dash and windscreen riser
    • USB outlet
    • License plate relocate
    • FMF Q4 exhaust
    • Turn signal stalk delete
    • Dirtracks pannier racks
    • Kick Stand and Clutch Safety deletes
    • Tusk footpegs
    • Carb has dynajet needle with 142.5 main jet - I get 48-51 mpg
    • Tusk bar risers
    Ugly
    • Right tank shroud has small crack near lower bolt hole - doesn't affect mount or function (cant really see it)
    • Tires at 30% (shinko 804/805)
    • Chain/Sprockets at 10k ish
    • Left mirror has a crack in glass
Not included (unless there are more $)
    • Ram mount for phone
    • Pelican case
To the best of knowledge the doo has not been done on this bike, nor am I very concerned about it on the gen 2 - I've replaced it on other gen2's and felt that it was a non issue, especially on a low mileage bike.

Bike has a bit less than the typical oil burn seen in early gen2 KLRs. I'm putting in about 1.25 quarts per 1000 miles. Either keep it full or drop a big bore kit in it - either way it'll do 10's of thousands of more miles trouble free.

For the right price I can send the new owner home with a newer set of chains and sprockets as well as some lightly used tires which might make the deal a bit sweeter. I've also got a pair of Bell Vortex helmets size M I'd be willing to part with if the buyer is interested. Also a pair of Indie Ridge full gauntlet gloves (brown -size L). The bike is located at 25985 and is waiting for its new owner.

If your interested in the bike send me an email with your phone number and I'll give you a call as soon as I'm able. Thanks for looking.

Bump for the best time of the year to ride - colors here have been the best they've been in years. KLR would make a nice Mexico companion this winter as well. I'm always open to fly and rides or ride and flies (either you to me or me to you).

I like the way you mounted your auxiliary lights below the brackets rather than above them. The extra separation distance from the turn signals seems like it'd help prevent the auxiliary lights from masking the turn signals' visibility when they're flashing.

Does the low mounting position of the auxiliary lights result in them getting extra road spray/dirt/mud on them from the front wheel and fender?

They definitely get road spray - I wouldn't say it is extra or excessive, nor does it really seem to decrease their effectiveness, probably because of how bright the lights are.
