So what are your thoughts so far??
    Comfort?
    Engine?
    Suspension?
    Controls and guages??

How many miles do you have on it so far(or KM) ?

You are the only person that has one so that is why I am asking.

I have one ordered, so I am just waiting.

Could you take some pics with the glove boxes open and of the gauges?

Thanks for all your help, Joel.

This is mine guys, i am in the UK, its a fantastic machine and for those that think its slow, your gonna be surprised as have many a sportbike rider i have annhilated in the twistys with! and yes, it maybe marginally slower than the burgman 650 but it makes up for it in handling, it trounces it!

My advice is to go on youtube, type in tmax, and the world is your oyster, these guys customise and race them, you should see the meetings they have in france, hundreds tour across france and italy with allsorts of tuned tmax's, lots of aftermarket performance and custom parts available if you search ebay in europe, plenty of foreign shops and tuners that will keep you fixed to ya seats for eeks in amazement of what these bikes can do!

Shame we don't get the version with the integrated turn signals - wonder if it's cost prohibitive to retro fit with body parts from the Euro model...

Wonder what the mileage is like on the race versions :evil

    Cool looking scoots

Got to admit, for some time i've been thinking about going over to a scoot. I have a Bandit 1250 and i hardly use what that bike has on tap. I think 50 bhp in a user friendly package would do me just fine.
Love that vid of all the TMaxs' lined up. Much cash for Yammie methinks..

I had a Burgman 650 and sold it because its lack of power made it boring to tour on. The T-Max is even slower, with less storage and less weather protection. My $0.02. Pick up a new or used 250 scooter for running around town and keep the Bandit for longer rides.

Of course, if I had this guy's talent, I might still have my Burgman :evil

That's not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all. I have to admit, i was a bit wary of selling the Bandit for the very concerns you have expressed. Might have a dig through the local classified ads.
    Thanks.

Nice pictures what does the insturment cluster look like? The Majesty with the central LCD or like the Australian version with the round gauges? I am waiting for the phone call for my Tmax to arrive here in Florida. So far no call. (I was advised that it should be here in a couple of weeks.) Trading in the 06 Majesty and a 07 Vstar Classic for the Tmax.....

Good I saw a picture of an 08 Tmax with the round gauges and then I saw one with Majesty like guages and an LCD screen. Looks like the round one with the small circular LCD in the bottom section is what it will be then. great thanks :clap

Ok I have a question. I watched a Youtube video of the Tmax and it showed just one of the 2 headlights on just like my old Zuma. On my Majesty both headlights are on in low and high beam. Which way does the North American Tmax go? like the Zuma with one of two on or like the Majesty with both on at the same time. If it is like the Zuma then the light output will not be as good as the Majesty (Most of my cars don't have lights as good as a Majesty). I will be looking for an upgrade to enhance the lighting if only one comes on at a time.......

Looks like Yamaha used H7s, like they do in the TDM900. You'll definitely want to budget for a set of HID conversion kits...
