Event Overview of COLORS IN THE CATSKILLS 3

The 2010 event is being brought to you by the Hunter Mountain Oktoberfest and MAX BMW. Thanks also to our friends at BackRoads Magazine for their support and assistance. www.backroadsusa.com

All brands of motorcycles are welcome to attend. There will be something for everyone. We will have off road events, sport riding, sport touring, and touring rides set up for your self guided enjoyment. There will be a number of high quality motorcycle vendors on site in addition to the Oktoberfest vendors. Seminars will be offered on topics of interest to all motorcycle riders. There will be daily entertainment on site on Saturday and Sunday as part of the Oktoberfest activities. Chair lift rides will be available to the summit of Hunter Mountain for stunning views of the “Colors in the Catskills”. You can even rent a mountain bike to take up the chair lift with you and then ride down Hunter as fast as you wish for a definite adrenaline rush!

We will be offering free off road riding skills schools on Saturday and Sunday led by members of TEAM MAX of Pikes Peak and RallyMoto fame. Here is your chance to find out what your off road or dual sport bike is really capable of doing with some training. MAX BMW has also arranged for the BMW Demo Truck to be on site Saturday, 2 October, offering rides on the latest BMW models.

Come join us for a day or the entire weekend. Last year 2,300 riders joined us for some part of the weekend activities. Bring all your friends along to enjoy the “Colors in the Catskills”. Stay on site, in nearby lodging or take advantage of the on site” camping offer.

Pre registration is not necessary. There is no pre registration even offered. There is no Rally fee!

    IT’S FREE!!!

We hope to see you there. Keep checking back at www.HunterMtn.com for additional offerings and updates.

I'm really upset that I'm going to miss this. I'm running a half marathon on Sunday the 3rd and don't think trekking up to the Catskills on Friday/Saturday will bode well for the race.

I went last year and from what I saw an Unregistered is not good. They have rides up the mountain which I heard were good for beginners & larger bikes also fun and great views for any bike. They also rent those mtn. bikes if you want, not sure about reservations. The ride I am lookin forward to is the "barber ride", this ride is much more advanced (I couldn't hang last year) .:rofl . This year I won't be 2 up on a KLR with bald tires:evil . By the way has anyone heard from the barber???
