This years Bangkok International Motorcycle show took place this past week and being a good ADV community member I decided to take some pictures and write some commentary on it. However since my word program crapped out on me 3 times already and I'm feeling lazy this afternoon I submit to you some eye candy from the other side of the globe with no accompanying commentary: :D

    Enjoy Canoli

Thanks glad you like them. The KTM setup was fantastic although the one downside was that the sales guy recognized me and my buddy by name ( even in a city of 11 million where you don't speak the language it's a small world).
We first met him while on a ride to Khao Yai National Park a few months ago when he was with a local magazine reporter demoing the 990. To his credit he is a very good sales man and almost made a $45,000 sale right then and there ( pic from the Khao Yai meeting)

And for those who wanted a bit more eye candy....

The one thing South East Asia can do better then most is put on a show. I've seen parties in the middle of farmers fields so epic that they make a Vegas night club act seem like amature hour at the local Moose lodge.

Also remember that this is the same mall ( Central World) that was gutted by fire during last years riots. This pic of Pooey was taken 1 week after the fires were put out in roughly the same spot where we parked the bikes this year.

This years bike show was a big party not just for motorcycles but for the city in general. A feeling of some good returning after many months of hate & fear. :freaky

Welcome to the world of import taxes & tariffs. That busa was about $26,000 USD and the fully loaded KTM 990 was around $35,000 :cry
