    Hey FFboy
I always have a spot across from the track in the first row facing the track, that a number of ADV folks pitch their tents. I have a small toy hauler and the spot is 40 feet long! I think we have 3 folks pitching there so far this year. If nothing else stop by Thursday night for "Movie Night". This year we are showing Hangover 2! We will have the small RV with the Valentino Rossi flag flying and 2 '08 KLR's sitting in the parking area. In fact all of you FF's are welcome, but you got to bring your own beer! :freaky

Gray Wolf, I am going over to check your adv rally out.... if anyone has bike issues pm me... I have a lift and tools needed to assist. Only thing I don't have yet is a tire changer. Hope this helps if someone runs into a problem. I live at 135 and county line

GW- I am in and thank you for your hospitality. I am looking at rolling in to your place on Wednesday night or Thursday, depending on how some things unfold. I unfortunately have to be back at work on Sunday and will miss the race, but at least I can make some of it this year. If there is anything i can bring on my bike, please let me know. I will post here when I know more about my departure time. Thanks again for having us!

Oh! It will just be me in my group (which really isn't a group if its just one person).

OK thanks for the heads up. I'm not really planning much just yet. Since I'm running solo I'm not making many plans. I spend everyday at work making plans and such and sometimes its nice just to fly by the seat of the pants.

The only things I want to make sure I do is swing by the Cycle World Rolling Concours Thursday, ride my bike on the track at 7:00 p.m. Friday night and watch the races on Sunday. Other than that its as the wind blows but the bon fire sounds like a must see.

I'll be looking for the flag and the KLR's.
Are you setting up on Thursday?

Yea, the plan is to get there when the gates open at 8 AM, so we can get in the front row. We drive all night from Atlanta, leaving around 11 PM. Usually try to get just outside the "sniffing" distance from the bank of porta potties across from the track.:eek1

The folks at IMS called me and because I used a Cycle World Promo code when I ordered my tickets I get to run a lap on Friday night. I failed to ask them if I needed anything special to make this lap. Have any of you done this before and if so did you have to bring a full face or leathers or is it a run what ya brung kinda thing?

Ain't done it, but seen those that have.

It's a walking pace ride, fully escorted. You won't need anything more than a bandanna.

I don't know about you ladies, but I get moving pretty good on the track lap.

You just have to let the lead escort rider get a nice big lead on you on the front straight, and then bomb through the corners.

I saw a few people come onto the back straight doing 80 mph wheelies last year.

They don't 'require' anything other than you would wear on the street, but as always I wouldn't start the engine without a helmet and something to keep my dermis on.

Gotta have a lid. I've seen folks get denied access the past couple of years for not having one. They don't check any further (DOT/Snell/build date) than you've got something on yer mellon. And I let the lead dude get far enough in front that I cracked the ton on my GeezerGlide last year:lol3

I know some of you are planning to arrive today/tonight. I'm heading up to the hospital to see my grandfather (96). If no one is there to greet you just ride around the back and set up down by the creek. I'll ride on back when I get home.

Going to a wake today, leaving tomorrow. Will be there Thursday afternoon-ish. Also, doesn't look like I will be able to stay for the race on Sunday, so if I can't go I will have a ticket for Sunday. If some one doesn't need/want it, I will probably give it to the local police station of fire house.

Pint has arrived, and I am back from the hospital. Looks like just us tonight, look forward to those of you arriving tomorrow. I will be working from home for the next two days so should be on hand to greet arrivals.

GW- I will be coming along with Shatrat. Sadly I sold the bike this year so I will be driving the pickup. Any problem with me driving to the back so I can sleep in the camper shell? Need me to bring anything?

I think the current game plan is for us to arrive Saturday after the qualifying sessions.

No problem, plenty of room, just keep an eye out for little tree's, I'm trying to create some more shade back there for future rallys. The only thing we always need more of is chairs, so if you have a few old folding chairs toss them in the truck.
