My crew left early from Nashville, 8 am, Saturday and saw me to the camp grounds since everyone else had to get back home. They all headed back and did the route in one day making it back by 7:30pm Saturday night. Not too tough and don't worry about gas, my dads CT175 only has a under 2 gallon tank and he was fine.
Doing last years route all in one day like we did on Fathers Day was a different story all together. We started at 7 and didnt make it home until after midnight...

Made it home a bit after 7pm, odometer read 487 miles for the weekend. I had an awesome time and it was great meeting some many good people. Thanks Tim for all the all the hard work you put into the route.

Finally thawed out and grabbed some dinner. Look forward to seeing everyone here in a few week for the unofficial ride.

    My stats...

A little quicker moving average than Tim. Maggie and I didn't waste much time getting between points A and B. We had an absolute blast and Maggie is game to go again next year.

Tim, thank you for putting this event and the tracks together. It was a great time.

Peter, always enjoy riding with you. Thanks for putting up with the two-up delays

Really had fun riding with some new folks and enjoyed everyone's company.

We rolled into our house in Bloomington at 4:00 PM on the nose.

Given so many people have to put in for vacation days in advance--in some cases right after the first of the year--and it's always a bit of a controversy as to what weekend to hold the event I make a motion that we establish the last full weekend in October as the permanent date for the Hoosier National Forest Fall Ride, avoiding polls and the annual controversy about when to hold it. Yeah, we could end up with cold weather but there again we've had about as many nice late October weekends as we have brisk ones. The weather is a crapshoot that time of year, anyway and in theory that gives everyone plenty of time to not only put in for necessary vacation time but also get their cold/wet weather gear prepared and ready to go.

    Your thoughts???

I'll second the motion. Think it would be wise to nail it down to a set October weekend.

    My 2 cents.

I had a blast. What a great time with great folks. I am looking forward to next year already. Maybe by then I will be able to keep up with some of you! Many thanks to all of you who were kind enough to extend a hand and greet a new fella, and even more thanks to those of you who babysat me out on the ride.

Id have to say this ride was definantly one of the best ride ive ever been on or done. Ive never found myself airborn as many times as I did. Definantly learned and extended into my dual sport abilities. For those of you that didnt get to do hnf route 4 you definantly missed one of the most challenging gravel areas. Those boulder litterly beat my ass. Now im sitting at work until 7am with an hr of sleep. Thank god for coffee. Ill try and get some of the videos i took with my go pro edited and ready to be put online.

While we were sitting at the bride a farmer pulled up asking us about what we do and who we are. (Dont worry woodsrat he wasnt a fed) he then mentioned how he has alot of property with trails and if we would ever be interested in having an area like that to ride in fkr a decent price. We assured him we would and I gave him an hnf sticker and how to find us on the website.
