Who makes this hauler? I am in the market for one since I got rid of the truck for a van. Currently looking at Versahulers as I like the extra receiver on the outside for adding a table or something like that.

Homemade. All steel minus the 6061 block for the BikeBinderz.

    Hi guys,

I have a 2016 XC-W 500 in South Africa that I want to make street legal.

Does anyone know if the stock 2016 500 EXC Light Harness (#77711079000) and Flasher Harness (#77711081000) are plug and play into the XC-W 500's harness?

If so, would that give me the connections I need to plug in all the street goodies, or am I missing something?

    Bruce

Check these guys out, what you want is exactly what they do. They can probably send you what you want or maybe tell you what you need.

Here is where you can get a 12V power source that only runs when the bike is on if you need it for the horn and blinkers and want to save some cash. I added the red wire on the male side of the plug.

First pic is female side from bike, this is stock with brown, yellow and yellow with blue line. Male side stock is the second picture with an open spot, add a wire to that and bam... 12v power.

No problem! I am pretty sure the pin that I used was from a Molex .062” connector..

An oil analysis could ease your mind. The WIX test kit is only $12 US. You could use a little syringe and a bit of tubing to pull the sample.

I finally had a super obvious electrical problem. I hate diagnosing electronics but this one was an easy solder away to fixing. Exciting for 100+ miles of single track this weekend with for the PMMC Tower run!

I recently picked up a cream puff 2014 500 EXC. All stock, smog, exhaust canister....you get it. Is there a way to tell if the PO unlocked the ECM so it can be euro/AUS mapped? Or am I stuck going down the tuner route?
I just sold a 2015 501 w/Euro tune and it ran a helluva lot better than this pretty little 500.
    Thanks

I have a 14 and 15 and adjusting the initial TPS makes a huge difference overall without going whole hog

Thanks. My TPS was set at .60 and I bumped it to .64
Next big run I'll get a fuller test in but so far the bump seems to have it popping less.

When I got my 2015 model I decided to try it for a while without desmogging.

But the popping on decel got a little annoying, so I removed all the smog stuff and this fixed the popping.

Install a ball bearing in the SAS hose or remove altogether and no more popping.

I'm not trying to derail this thread, but there's a decent deal on a 2012 xc-w. It’s plated already,

Any reason NOT to use an xc-w as a street legal light ADV bike for BDR’s?

    thanks everyone
