This guy rode two others up this section as well as his own while carrying someone else's 30 lbs pack. As you can tell, from the audio, there was still a long way to go after he was out of the shot! Thanks Man!

I said, nothing sick or twisted....

Fine, you will possibly have more fun on your DRZ.

At least 8 passes in an "easy" day, maybe 9.

No I grabbed the front brake in a panic as I felt I had way to much speed for that corner so I said better to go down then off. Its why I was pretty prepared for the fall. Turns out a slanted rock is what helped me slide the bike off the trail...LOL Oh well I been down harder...ask AimHi how we meet. :rofl

Here we go, the rock that helped me go down while grabbing the front brake...

Oh and again thank you for the legs lent for the re-starting of this beast. You be happy to now know its all tuned up so starting not an issue now...LOL The rocker arm was loose (hence the rattling noise for maybe two years...vales went way out of adjustment. pwrtrippin said he could stick a ruler under there...LOL Also I think he said the exhaust values being stuck open...hence no compression. Wiring is being taken care up...should be back and ready to ride in a week or two. Really a testament to Honda, one can mis-treat their bike and it keeps on running...LOL

Sad about your ACL, but I was so happy you and Christine got up and both walked away. I'm sorry I let her sit on my GS too, cuz that's gonna cost you:rofl. On the other hand, I sat on her Bike back at camp, and that's gonna cost me.... Hope to see you guys next year!

Anyone do Engineer Pass Road from Hwy 550? I did that Sunday with the Jeep and don't remember it being so rough. Saw a 200cc (dr?) having a go at some of the rock obstacles and looked slow-going...

Other than that, I'm surprised I missed most of you. The only indication was a bunch of dual-sports in Telluride Saturday for lunch. Dirt bikes are all over the place up there :D

Great pics and video. Maybe I'll be taking the bike up there next year instead of the Jeep!

    later,

This is Christine. I am so thankful we both are ok. I have to say, that I did like your bike a lot! Looking forward to seeing you next year! By the way, I think I paid a lot more for mine than you did for your:nod

i tore my acl too 9 months ago and opted no surgery since i'm done anyway. i gave up running 10 years ago, my joints are not young anymore and fused.......:cry

hope you'll be ok and good to hear nothing unfortunate happened to christine. jim aka spafxer (riding the 950 and in orange jacket) took pictures of the first water crossing (the crash site), i did the 3rd and will post the pics later. i remember there is a little dirt on the left of the water crossing; i was tempted to climb up the berm to stay dry. i knew someone behind me will go for it.

The Possy will be on your side in a great Gangfight.

    2. possy
    "Possy" is slang for "squad".
Modern uses include reference to gang members following a leader
"The Sherif is forming a possy to go after Billy the kid(or someone similar)".

Auto correct got me the first time but I fixed it.

I'm not picking up the easy tee up nor am I giving it to you.

Nice meeting you. Hope you heal quickly

a week or two, thats what he thinks, I leave for a week this weekend. LOL

One exhaust valve in spec, the other would take half my feeler gauge stack to fill it up. The low compression was the intake valves were part way open since the adjustments were so far out of spec. As for the electrical, I have a few more tricks up my sleeve.
