Anyone going to the Buffaloe 500 Dual Sport or Adventure ride? I have been the past few years, and its a great event. Hope this year we get the weather like last year, but I'm not counting on it.

Which ride will are you doing the dual sport or adventure? If your doing the dual sport make sure you bring an enduro style bike with a knobby tire. In past years there hasn't been anything that hard on this ride like big hills or river crossings just good single track. The sections are big, so don't be scared to take a break in the middle of a section or you will be tired by the end.

Not your typical Dual Sport. Last year was more like a trail ride with a little road to get to the other section. Not really good for a big bike. Not sure what they have laid out for this year but I would think they will ride the same two lands which had 20 + miles of single track and 15 miles of single track.

I hear thru the grapevine, there might be some new sections added this year.

Always a good time at this event.

I'll be doing the dual sport ride....I've got a WR250 with knobs so no worries there. I just didn't want to run into any big hill climbs or anything real gnarly. Not looking for hare scramble training or anything..just some fun!:freaky

Looks like there will be more sections then last year but I have never seen anything that is really tough on this ride. The hardest part is the amount miles you do in one day. You will be ok on a WR250.

Heard that they will have the sawmill and jones properties again, plus another 300 acre section. Sounds like saturday will be the better day to hit more trails, as sunday will be a slightly shorter day

Good Jones property is one of the better properities I have rode. It has tight single track, pine trees, rocks a few hills, grass track, and open trail, so I'm glad we will get to ride it again this year.

Are you speaking of the Westward Ho or the Mountain Bike Campground? I'm also looking for a campground for the weekend.

My current thoughts are to come up on Friday night. I was wanting to find a campground with a shower but if it doesn't have one it's not a deal breaker.

I'm talking about Westward Ho it is right off 46 and about 3 miles from the club. I camped at the club last year but the weather was perfect for it. I know the Mountain Bike place "Paint Ball Valley" is nice but the owner is kinda hard to deal with, and my camper doesn't fit.

I'll be riding the adventure route if anyone is interested. The 650 xcountry might be a little large for the woods sections, I am ohh so tempted though. This is one of those times I wish I had a 250 to play on!

    Anyone doing the adv route?

Ya if your a good rider and in shape enough to ride it all day in single track it can be done, but I would stick to the adventure ride.
