Good times. . . thanks to the players and navigators (and the cooks for Sat. a.m. burrito)!
Solo on the White River Sunday night. A nice backroad ride to Kremmling and then on up over Trail Ridge Monday evening.
    Awesome country to ride through.

I was right at 1000 miles.

Here's to the Sgt. He's one cool cat and wonderful by-the-campfire entertainer.

Here's one of my own sand hill pictures. The long roost shows just how steep and loose the sand really was.
Leemur Pilot to Uli: "Uli, why don't you try that possible work-around route to the left of the hill. It'll probably be way more easy." Uli:"Sure thing Paul. Watch and learn!" Result: Uli spends the next ten minutes digging his overloaded bike out of the hole it dug for itself. Then, I get to start it all over from the bottom the "regular" hill. After I made it to the top I got to spend ten minutes helping to get the instigator, Paul, out of the puff. But I got to say it, he's one tough SOB to ride on with an ankle like that.

Got one of the picture man himself. I know it's nothing like his picture quality, but if you squint just right you can see his positive attitude in even this poor picture; the hand geture says it all.

    :lol3

Nutting special about this picture, other than it's of my bro Tramontana. Thaks for talking me into the ride!:

U.S. Ian showing me his sleeping contraption. I wasn't sure it'd be all that practical once I hung some bacon off it in the middle of the night. BTW: Bears love bacon.

Fixed. Mine, too! Since someone actually 'caught' a picture of the fish. Lo' & behold, Velolion actually captured me in the act of trying! Thanks!:

Had a fantastic time, great bunch of chaps (and chapesses), big thanks to Emily and LaurieD for everything they did for us.

Thursday morning didn't start too well.....

Then I saw this German bloke in a bizarre 'crossing of the testes' ritual....

Well, I thought I had a small tent but Terry had me beat.....

Nice line up of bikes @ Echo Park....

Wuds giving the ADV salute to some wild animals in the distance.....

And to round it off I hit a Turkey on my bike on the way to work this morning. It must be a sign - but I'm just not sure of what.

It's been said before but this ride wouldn't have happened if not for Geek for putting all this together; Norm, for letting us stay on your pasture and the tracks on Friday (yes, I enjoyed the sand hill); Laurie for hauling all our stuff and especially my "spacial" petrol and Emily for all the hard work she put into cooking us dinner AND breakfast.

    Some pictures to share:

On our why to Rand. Nice and windy. Wuds trying out his cape.

Devin headed towards the snow capped mountains.

This road felt like riding on marbles. All of of thought we had flats.

See the sheep with a long tail. That thing came charging up and jumped on me almost knocking me off the bike.

Broken fibula it looks like though I can't tell if that's the tibia as well. I've only taken one class in Anatomy and Physiology so far :norton

's pretty awesome resolution on the x-ray; the new digital ones are really sweet.

So, in ADV parlance... "He done farked up his foot." :lol3

Get well soon, Paul! Though, it sounds like Emily is taking good care of you. :jkam
