I agree... except for the indicators which could use a flexible mount and the exhaust which should have been higher and tucked in more so its protected by the pilion handbars

I think it looks great! I've been thinking about "blacking" mine too!!

You've missed a few bits though, the parts leading from the headlight to the tank...

Hit the links and the Pics will come up fine. My Opinion on the black is nice , but too much for me. I will not own black because I am lazy and don't clean my bikes or cars enough to make it look good.

Ok so none of the KTM 1190 Adventure R manuals show you exactly how to reset the keys but I figured it out.. There isnt an EFI light or immobiliser light or anything to go off, but there is a red light near the center of the speedo.

If anyone else needs to know..

    - Turn the kill switch off, Put the Orange key in, turn on the ignition and wait for the red light in the center of the speedo to flash 2 times and turn off (not to lock)
    - Put the black key in and turn on the ignition and the red light will flash twice then turn off
    - put the orange key in and turn on the ignition and now the red light will stay on, turn off
    - Put the black key in and turn on the ignition and the red light will flash twice then turn off
Put the Orange key in, turn on the ignition and wait for the red light in the center of the speedo to flash 2 times and turn off
    - Turn on the kill switch and put the black key in and it will start.

    I hope this helps! ;)

G'day Guys and Girls if there are any :D

Im new around here and have an interest in the new 1190 Adventure.

I have just spoken with Daniel at Procycles in Hornsby NSW, and he has informed me that the 2014 KTM 1190 Adventure is selling for wait for it
$25,388 on road, also its the same price for the R model.

I have placed an order for the 2014 Model with the full EDS
    (electronic damping system)

I have sold my 2011 K1300s to finance the new bike. (brilliant bike)

Also I have not had a test ride on any 1190:huh

However I have read all the internet reviews and see this as the next phase in my riding, getting back to some dirt and bush riding.
I have the complete list of accesories as a PDF, and need to work out how to upload it to you all, the prices are exy, but thats how it goes..

Anyway I hope to contribute where possible.

My bike will arrive possably January or February.:clap
Being without a bike is like walking around in thongs bloody silly ..:rofl

Cheers but it doesnt explain how to actually reprogram your key. It just says..

Use the orange key to activate/deactivate your black ignition key.

    25k on road? really?

That seems a bit over the top to be honest, my 13 R model was $23,790 on road, and $22k for the adv std.

The 2014 model has the new Bosch MSC fitted
    (motorcycle stability control)
    http://motorbikewriter.com/2013/09/26/bosch-safety-for-ktm-motorcycles/

My understanding is that KTM have raised the price by 2k.
I would be suprised if any dealer is selling the 2014 at 2013 prices.

Also the MSC can be retrofitted as the article explains. could be $500 aud

I dont know if many guys will bother with the standard model because the EDS is what makes this bike the best in its category.

The GS boxer is way more in price than the 1190 and it didnt appeal to me at all, even though I like BMW's.
