Dinner at the lodge Friday night was French Onion soup, Smoked samlon with capers and cream cheese, Filon mignon, and dessert. Food was so good only had time to take picture of first course!

The next morning breakfast was just as awesome!

Chef Benoit mentioned he was thinking of putting on a big rôti de bœuf as the main for us next weekend!:deal

Friday morning everyone is in for a bit of this.

If anyone's coming up to the RR through Cornwall, the new bridge is much easier to cross. It's only about 30 feet off the ground now, in the shade of the old bridge which is set to come down by 2016.

Hi folks, the campground we are using in Buckingham, Quebec on Thursday night has agreed to do a cold breakfast for us. It will be available at 5 am which including coffee, juice, hard boiled eggs, ham, muffins, toasts, tomatoes, fruits, etc

The camping cost went up as a result (now $22) and includes the breakfast.

Like everyone else, I am in last minute bike prep mode :D

    Cya soon, safe travels

In case anyone is wondering about the bug situation...here are some shots from last weekends pre-riding. The good news is, there were no horse/deer flies yet.

And another shot of my front fairing...should answer your question.

Too early to look at the forecast?

Looks decent, a bit of everything. A few showers can be expected mixed with sun and clouds.

Mornings will be brisk, afternoons around 20 degrees Celsius.

A few showers leading up to Friday so the roads and trails should be dust free. For RR the water crossings will be...well...wet :evil

Spent the original RR dates rough camping and riding solo in Calabogie backwoods. Trails muddy with water crossings, but had superb time. Black flies swarming, but not biting due to temp. Remember, they are limited to 8 km per hour, so keep moving! Have a blast, wish I could be there. Sigh.

Weekend before last we were up on the trails between Calabogie and Bon Echo...black flies a plenty. Didn't notice then until we were stopped though. As for deer flies...one massive bastard almost got me! They're around....As for bike prep....as long as CP arrives as it bloody well should today...Im In like Flynn!:deal...If not there will be a fully loaded 990 revving impatiently in the driveway as the CP truck pulls up Thursday evening...Lets hope for the sake of that poor mail carrier that it dosen't come to that:evil
