Rosie making it as painful as possible...
AND THAT'S A WINNER !!!
That was the largest strike zone I've EVER seen. While I'm not saying the ump was particularly biased, it does call for technology to fix it. We have the ability and with as many bad calls as were in that game I see the fans demanding it at some point. Just like replays.
That ump didn't help his peers or the future of his trade with those calls. I hope someone calls him on it.
I could not tell if he was THAT off or if the "foxbox" striketrac thingy was not calibrated because some of those strikes were laughable. I guess that's why it was a one run game for eight innings. Lester was good-Lackey was great.
I expected a better set of excuses.... But when all else fails the "strike zone" is an easy go-to....
The strike zone was the exact same for both teams, the home plate ump called a fair game.
I didn't read it as an excuse, just a commentary on the strike zone.
It looked wide, and yes, it was the same for both teams.
I actually SAID I didn't think the ump was biased. Just that he was calling balls, strikes. It wasn't an excuse, the Cards out hit the Cubs, no doubt about it.
I just don't like bad calls, and that game had more than I've ever seen. It's all over the internet, many people are saying it today. I just think it's time to consider using technology and taking people with bad eyesight and/or bad judgement out of the game.
That 5 run second inning was sweet!
Important game commentary, That girl in those viagra commercials isn't attractive, at all.
Wow, just turned the game on (The Boy has homecoming tonight) 5 unearned runs in the 2nd. Cards gave this game to the Cubs
Sure, and we get robots to actually play the game
Yes I know it's football, it's for the dramatic effect
Re: 2nd inning - I'm glad I was out running errands and wasn't subjected to that. You can't make errors and expect to win in the post-season, especially with the anemic offense the Cards have had recently.
Gifts are nice.
Another big "W" is chalked up in Chicago!
Smashing records, Soler's first 9 attempts, 6 homeruns in a post season game, all of those rookies....
That was a good game.....
The last time the Cubs won a pennant was in 1945
