Thank you Joel and everyone. He was the best excuse to miss DVNR. I am glad you all had great time. I am showing Brandon all those amazing pictures and reading the reports to get him ready for next year.

He also brought me a new helmet to make it up to me. :clap

Thank you all for all your kind words. Soon we have to ask Joel to organize a first time riding class for all cuties under 5 years old. :)
We had him on Wed. March 25th. He was 21.25 inches and 7lb 13oz. But of course he is well over 8lb by now. :clap
Sue, yes it is the new Hornet X2. I have been waiting for this one for a while. I almost got the X4 until I saw this one coming.

big group will have to be broken down into several groups of 4 or 6.

yes, we don't want any attention, just keep a low profile.

pablo will be our man. if we can find 1 or 2 more 4x4s that will be great.

not sure if this one applies?

    • The following limitations are set for commercial and non-commercial day-use groups along backcountry roads: No more than 20 motorcycles and 4 support vehicles per group;

    Hey Joel,
Maybe next year's T-shirt could be a take-off of the old DV Hike or Die logo-wear

garfey and Miss Myrtle (the bike-towing land barge) slud in, safe at home ~2:05P Texas time (you left coasters were probably still snoozin' :shog) - 3964.4mi, Max Speed 80.0mph and you can bet your bippy that wasn't while climbing the Continental Divide or the passes heading from Pahrump to PSR. Might have been while coming down off Cajon Pass Sunday evening, enroute to Blythe for bkfst at the Courtesy Cafe, thence to visit with fambly in Phoenix. Unloaded the electronics out of the car (76degF, not a cloud in the sky, and my pine & cedar trees smell wonderful); the rest can wait 'til tomorrow morning.

No clue who donated the kick-ass Moose Racing jersey I won for being the oldest, out-of-shapest n00b there but I wore it on the way home and it is K I L L E R! And it's Orange & White! A little wear in EasTX and it'll be all orange.

No clue who donated the GOX Limited Series "Phantom Black Orange" spaceman-y goggles, either, but the lens is Orange and they are cool as S**t. There's some white on the head strap and, on our dirt roads, I can prob'ly turn that orange, too.

Many thanks to the donor(s), whoever you are. :bow :bow :bow

Haven't yet ordered the Scotts Damper (and probably other stuff) for the EXC but will, tomorrow. I'm dedicating myself to drinking COLD BEER this evening.

There were two boxes of parts waiting on the front stoop when I got home (5.3gal tank not here yet) - spares and upgrades for the EXC for its attempt at the 47th Annual SCORE Baja 500, helmed by Inmate bananaman, starting in Ensenada two months from TODAY. Strangely to me, there's no info on the SCORE website yet (?????). Gotta dig out the birth certificate and go get a effin' passport so I can get back into the U.S.! :becca

I only took maybe a half-dozen pics and only a couple were of riding situations; I was too busy trying to stay vertical or panting for breath. Nothing exciting (unless you consider airing up a leaking rear tire exciting) but they are what they are. Will post in the DT thread when I dump the camera.

    that's funny!

hahaha...could also be "learn how to RIDE or DIE"......:cry

and in fine line...no noobs were harmed disclaimer...:lol3

    :huh

wow, you got so much stuff.....:clap

the scotts discount is huge for those buying a steering damper kit (damper, upper tree and handle bar rubber mount riser)...:deal

with the 5.3 gal, you can fill it up before you leave tx for $2/gal and will last you weeks. nice to keep the small tank for short rides, unfortunately an extra f.i. pump/filter will cost you $$$.

have fun on the new 500.
