Sorry for the delay in getting this years Icebreaker going. The ride committee's been having problems scouting routes, getting too busy with jobs & honey do lists. Doesn't look like that's going to improve so for this year we're going to just call it the - Campout at the Cabins. We'll be reposting the previous years routes for those who want to re-run them.

Here's the link to the previous years tracks. - http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=26327418#post26327418

Location: The Rock Cabin Camping Campground just west of Cave City, KY

    Date: Saturday March 28th

Ralph & Lina are all set to host us again. Give them a call @ (270) 773-4740 if you want to reserve a cabin or just pitch a tent in their camping area. Ralph sez the Porky Pig in beautiful downtown Pig, Ky is going strong as is Mamma Lou's BBQ #2 in Munfordville, KY. Plenty of more traditional lodging & eats in near by Cave City.

I've already grabbed a cabin and might roll down Friday and ride the local roads if the weather's nice. That's always been the chance with the Icebreaker, snow/ice or 60 degrees, time will tell!

Hope to see you folks there.

I'm in....just called Ralph and reserved my cabin.

Now the question is; ride the XT or the SuperTen?

Mark, I'm in for Friday ride down...if the weather is nice.

I like the "Ride Your Own Route" idea. Like minded individuals can ride at preferred consensus road level.

I'm in on the 1150GS with my tent, unless it snows, under 25 degrees with rain and/or snow................

.......................in which case I'll be probably there.

Great Idea Mark!!! I'm in if I get the days off and I'll probably just camp out. Are there trees in the campground for a hammock? Are you talking off-road routes or on-road?

Hey Mark, there are trees at the Cabins and I'm sure you could rig something up.

To far off to decide but Anthony and I did explore a way down east of I-65. Rode the gravel road, Harrison Fork on the east side of Bernheim Forest. Most locals know it as there's so few gravel anything besides driveways in this part of KY. It has a few water crossings, one of which would be harry after heavy rains.

99% sure I'll ride down Friday from Louisville to Ralphs to spend Friday night then Saturday AM either scoot around the park as there's some dead-end gravel roads in the park that lead down to canoe put-in points on the Green, or maybe take a back road trip over to the Lake Cumberland area with a lunch stop at France's BBQ in Tompkinsville.

Hope you're not flying that weekend!

Hope Porky Pig doesn't let us down again. Pretty sure that was a major reason for loving this ride so much. I can't take the disappointment twice.
