Great weather and ride with friends today.

We made good time and I was home at around 3. I've got a thing on that day but I think I can still make the ride. I may have to skip Los Hermanos afterward.

Looking forward to it. That's actually the first time I've ridden it clockwise.

    Be forewarned. Bring some tweezers.

    Ouch.

You don't need tweezers if you stay on the trail :augie

That was a good one! Just a few observations for the uninitiated...

    Watch for falling rock!

And yes, tweezers might be a good idea.

Just assume there's a vehicle around every blind corner.

    Mostly, bring tweezers!

I think the rains made the cacti grow out into the trail a bit more than we're used to. Then again, I always seem to touch a cactus on that ride. :dunno

Yesterday was an awesome day to ride out there. Scenery was spectacular! Riding clockwise was fun and felt like a completely different ride. You don't realize some of the steps are there until you run it backwards. The cacti was in full growth mode. Everyone but 4Play got tagged at least once. We have added a cool detour that 4Play found, with a tough hill and fast wash to keep it fresh for you guys.:ricky

Man, I wish I could have gone on this ride. I just have to wait for the main event coming up. Thanks for all the picture posting, the scenery all around AZ right now seems to be the best it's been in quite a while. :thumb

It doesn't look like too much interest in the upcoming ride. For anyone that is on the fence this is a spectacular ride that we do every year and is not to be missed.

:jack I know my limitations. I barely survived the Ovens on the XR, not taking the 990. Hopefully there will be a new weapon of choice in the garage for the Ovens next year.

I only committed to once, the second lift would be at my discretion. Sometimes it's just irresponsible to put someone back on their bike.

I heard that you will walk down a hill to help a downed rider, but you are not walking back up the hill.
