@bergermeister 6 for 6 so far. May have to drop him.... er I mean congratulations, well done.
Don't you mean 7 for 7?
Rest assured that it won't last. These bowl games are a crapshoot.
Agreed - you never know how a team's gonna react when the only thing on the line is a little pride. LSU is a good example - with their big man effectively quitting on them, they may not fare well.
Same with Stanford. It's hard to fault the players when there are way too many meaningless bowl games and the only ones getting paid are the schools.
Dang. Missed out.
Jump in now - it's be a great story if you came back and kicked everyone's ass!
Nick ain't wrong.
Well crap. I made picks and it shows up under d's optimal picks. Not sure how I did that. Those picks aren't in the group. I was going to win this one!!
Key words - "in big games"
It used to be that every bowl game was a big deal. I wonder how much longer advertisers will fall for this?
I'd be willing to bet that even for the "C" level bowls ESPN's ratings are higher than any other sport-- eg non-Championship college basketball, NBA, hockey etc.
Hence the proliferation.
I read it's just ESPN filling time slots, despite poor attendance and ratings.
Eh, they are making money or they wouldn't do it.
Tell me who you want to pick... and I'll see if I can use my admin powers on @bergermeister's picks.
been a brutal couple of days........
aTm and Kansas St is turning out to be a pretty good game. K State came to play!
and...A&M lost! Can't bode well for Sumlin, he was on the hot seat at the end of the season, and this game will not help! Beaten, no less than by a little, ol' no defense Big 12 school.
I saw more of this game than any other (except the NM Bowl with UNM) was a really good game. Missed the end though.
Arkansas has got to be the worst 2nd half football team in the history of organized football.
