Stage 4 vid...a few angles I dont recall seing
Well, no, there hasn't in my memory, though not having been a Rally Tragic but 6yrs I can't speak to "never." With The Aliens in, it was a totally different thing - can't even call it a game as there was only a question of which of the two would stand atop the podium and who would be on the bottom step so it was hardly a "test" at all.
This is MUCH more interesting. Maybe there should be a 3-and-out rule to prevent such domination. (I'm sorta kidding there, but not totally.)
Go Pro sacrifice
I'm not 100% sure but I think that's a Jonah Street-ism, sorta like "You can never have too much fuel . . . unless your bike is on fire."
Most Memorable Ramp Mount, Dakar 2016!
(and likely called "Crashavo" from here on)
I still can't put my finger on why we are seeing what we are, but as good as they were the Aliens's weren't necessarily the fastest on 2 wheels, so where would they be now - sitting around 5th waiting for next week I suspect, but with a lot more company than they would have expected
Proper technique and well sorted suspension go along way.
There have been a few shots like this one that are straight out of a video game.
There's a video sequence from yesterday (recorded from a drone) of bikes and cars climbing a rocky road. It's one of the best shots I've seen in long time. Hollywood couldn't make it better.
Agreed, the Aliens weren't always 1-2 in every stage.
Paulo Gonçalves today fulfilled one more stage of #dakar2016, getting the 12. th best time in the speech which was received in Bolivia. A defensive step for the Portuguese pilot who led the navigation during the day and he ended up losing little time for the immediate stalkers a day without mechanical assistance. In General, "speedy" Goncalves keeps the leadership of proof in search of the dream: win the dakar.

SYLVAIN IS IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, you don't want that rear wheel "locked" when landing - let 'er spin!
I remember before The Agony of Defeat crash on the ski-jump ramp thingie.
Hell, I remember before WWofS and dang near before TV (OK, not really before TV, but back when only a few people had one and there was a test pattern from abt 10P until the next morning.)
Midget Wrasslin' & Gorgeous George, anyone?
So have the riders got much better this year or are we calling this the easiest first 5 stages (4 )for the last 3 years?
When is this going to get properly hard? It all seems flat and short and fast.
It feels like a baja race so far. I am loving the competition and that it is anyone's race I just hope it gets Dakar very soon.
Noticed that too.
Perhaps it's a combo of more WRC-type stages and teams being better prepared.
Isn't it supposed to be like the ASO's Tour de France? You know, with flat sprints to start and then the more challenging mountains.
So...where are the mountains?, you ask
