Thanks man. It was a tough week - his spirit is still everywhere. Every passing day gets a bit easier and I've got MrsK7 open to the idea of another day....but not for 6-9 months.

We'll be in Alabama for Thanksgiving and we're going to visit a Vizsla breeder. He's got a few male puppies that will be available in a few weeks but we're thinking more along the lines of "next batch". This will be more of an educational visit.

BTW - I've moved from the back of the pack to tied for second. I don't think that anyone will catch the Senator though...too large of a lead. Good job Sen!

Ever thought of a Plott Hound? :johntm

I'm amazed that I'm still winning. The only game this weekend that I'm having a problem with is of course the Iron Bowl. 18 points is going to be a lot of points to pass up this week. Might have to pick a 'dog' of my own this weekend.

Oh yeah. We'd love a plott but someone else likes the Vizsla a bit better. To be honest, I'm sure about having another dog but, we'll see.

Good luck with the dog quest.

I'm reading this with my 3 year old Vizsla curled up next to me with her head in my lap. Most affectionate breed of dog I've ever owned.

And very good in the field. Perhaps the best bird dog breed in existence.

The little guy closest to the camera will likely join us in about a month. Happy Thanksgiving!

With a name like "The Senator" you should know the fix is in. :deal --- In High School had a buddy nick-named The Senator as he had absolutely no morals. :rofl

Congrats on your team's win on Saturday.

For the first time in my adult life, I actually had a bet on the Iron Bowl. Alabama won so my buddy got a package of Brazilian coffee. If Auburn had won, he was to send me Blackburn syrup.

The best part? We used the points in the pick'em so I actually had a chance. :lol3

I lost, of course, and the coffee is already on the way to Anniston AL. It was all good fun.

I watched Elf this week. I'm in agreement, I think that would be a damn fine beverage.

So, the underdogs are ruling the day so far. Unfortunately, I did not go with them.

I entered them. They just didn't stay entered.

Thankfully a Good Samaritan alerted me so I could make five or six.
