311 - Ten Brinke's hopes go up in smoke

Absent from the finishing line for a long time yesterday, the Dutch driver of Toyota number 311, finally reached the finishing line in a press vehicle. With his co-pilot Tom Colsoul they were picked up from the side of the tracks after their car had been destroyed in a matter of minutes by a fire. It is a bitter end to the rally for the Dutchman who had demonstrated his speed in winning the prologue as well as lying in 8th place in the general standings at the start of yesterday's stage.

That's too bad...He had really good race going!

Does seem like a lot of fires - perhaps related to the higher speeds overall (hot brakes and other engine elements)...

You need to compile this into a book. "F5 poetry, the works of a dakar tragic"

    I'll lay it out.

I tried to find macarena (Joan barreda) lyrics earlier today but couldn't. I can't even remember which year it was.

Cheers. Mischa did all the hard work.

Here's Mudboy's day. He really picked it up towards the end of the stage, making places and time.

I think all of them made it in the cliff notes so that is probably the best way to find them.

That was also one of my favourites.

Today was a stage lasts, long but very challenging. It was a special varied with shipping areas fast, had a bit of everything. I focused and managed to hold the toughness of the stage. I knocked out a little more, because my goal is to keep me in the group of the way, positioning me well to face the second part of the rally that will be difficult and decisive. The result of step today was good but I know I can do better! Thank you all for your support! A special hug to Ruben for the work done and a speedy recovery.
