When does the real dakar start? Little navigation (evidently) and wide open roads don't make for normal Dakar do they?

Maybe karma will prevail and he'll have to wait another hour for Ceci to turn up again

If I was incharge of KTM marketing, Id get tee shirts printed with one of these pics on the front and one on the back, and give them away :rofl

Stage 7 is beginning to shake things up. Toby Price's teammate, Matthias Walkner, is reported to have suffered a fall about 15 kilometres into the stage —a tough blow for the Austrian, currently third overall.

    Gonk is helping him now

    Paulo Gonçalves stops for Walkner
Paulo Gonçalves stopped to assist Walkner after the Austrian's fall. The official Honda rider activated his beacon to report Walkner's fall. The Portuguese stayed with Walkner for several minutes, leaving the race aside for a while.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say thanks to all the contributors here for the awesome information. This my first time on the F5 mothership and it sure won't be my last.

I am lucky enough to to be able to travel to the Finke Desert Race in central Australia every year as a spectator and watching Toby Price live leaves me shaking me head every year. He is in a class of his own in that race and having met him at scruteneering last year he makes one hell of an effort for the fans.

Whilst I don't ride orange I am firmly a TP fan.

    Thanks again for the thread

With Walkner out of the race (presumably as beacon was activated) and Speedy stoppedto help him....Toby has a 9 minute gap between himself and the next bike (Svitko).
