Days that competition from the Dakar Rally reaches catamarquenas land, the Government published the call for tender by direct contracting by $2.400.000 to put in place the logistics required for the Organization of the race during his tenure the Bethlehem and Tinogasta Department. In accordance with the detailed, the bid includes the following:
    -Printing of 500 t-shirts and 200 caps: $100,000.
-Assembly and disassembly of carp (20 x 80) in Fiambala: $450,000.
-Assembly and disassembly of carp (20 x 80) in Belen: $450,000.
    -Camp perimeter Bivuac Fiambal√°: $500,000.
    -Camp perimeter bivouac Belen: $500,000.
-Lighting and wiring Bivuac Fiambal√°: $150,000.
-Lighting and wiring location Belen: $250,000.

    Other costs
International competition also provides for a fee, to the places through which passes the Dakar, which is paid to the organization. In the case of Catamarca, would have represented about six billion pesos, which would be financed with funds from the nation.
At the same time, the province must ensure all the logistics, which includes the transfer of the health system for emergency responders, police to guarantee the security and Civil Defense personnel.
They must also work several areas of Government in a coordinated manner.

Apparently a balise is a signaling device. Perhaps they have a few devices to hand out when necessary, for tracking purposes.

I was paying attention to something else and looked over to see it just in time but didn't have my sound up as I was listening to fox at that moment.

I put it on the list. I think it's not as easy as it sounds without touching the current design to much... if it's easy and when there is time I'll keep it in mind ;)

Pedro Bianchi Prata had been running steady in the 50-60th range, has had some sort of a problem and dropped an additional hour putting him currently around 100th.

Holy crap that was big. Hard to believe he didn't lose more time. I really hope there isn't some latent injury or bike damage that comes back to haunt him later tonight or later in the race. That was a super hard hit.

Forget it. You won't enter that business if you are not... ejemmm... friend of some important politician in the province :lol3 :2cry

Rate is about 1 USD = 14 pesos, so that's a grand total of USD 600.000 for one province. If this is similar on all other stages of Dakar that goes through Argentina, well, more than USD 6.5 million. I hardly think we make that much from tourism or whatever Dakar related :hmmmmmMaybe US should host this in the future :ksteve

EDIT: However, USD 6,5M is small change compared with what our politicians use to rob every year :(

The first cars should be coming in any time now on the tracker, can Sainz hold the lead?

Anyone know what has Michael Metge running so slowly? Is he pulling a Barreda trademarked one hander? He is on a Honda after all...
